Apologies' if this has been covered already but I haven't seen any posts and I wondered what gossip or official news there is on the next emira model, the emira sport/cup/450 etc. Wondered if this has also contributed to the splurge of emiras for sale with very little mileage.

The reason for so many on the market with very low miles is cancelled orders, being built, run around for a few days them moved on to dealers.  I am one of the cancelled orders and also buyer of low miles one with a big saving.  Shooting themselves in the foot - again.

I was told before end of the year for an announcement on something sportier when I had an Emira test drive at the beginning of the year. I’d have preferred a convertible/spyder version & was also told that Lotus were given the choice of the convertible or a sportier Emira by Geely

I wouldn't hold your breath for either of those currently (and especially a convertible as Lotus have always said that's never going to happen) given that the USA and Canada hasn't had a single FE V6 yet, and all worldwide FE i4 deliveries (with the possible exclusion of China) are now on hold until, potentially, Summer 2024.....

Sorry, I wasn’t clear, I’m fully aware that there will be no convertible, Lotus themselves chose a sportier version rather than an open top. But I was told that we should know about the sportier version by now but I guess that’s after the i4

I think there is more chance a sportier Emira may arrive given that sales will not be as high as forecasted as quite a few who placed deposits have cancelled. I personally know of 8 in this boat and I live in the middle of nowhere!

A sportier Emira may attract a new customer for it now that all old guys have their soft ones hahaha......

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

The small print.

My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!
