Hi all,

i have purchased a 1995 S4 GT esprit turbo commemorative model. It’s the green car with yellow wheels, apparently they made 11 of them to celebrate 11 victories in some racing series.

i can’t seem to find much info on this model. Does anybody know much about them?

cheers

I've worked on 2 of them.  Really nothing special about them other than they're all green, they had the yellow/ally 5-spoke Ruotes, they had red leather steering wheel covers and they were individually numbered, I believe near the filler flaps and on the glovebox?  Aside from that, bog-standard S4.

Could you mean the Jim Clark Commemorative Edition built for 1991?

@Kitkat a beautiful looking car, love the slim sports seats in these limited run edition. The wheels on yours look after market, for a minute I thought they were 300 sport wheels, but it seems not. The brakes look like they have been upgraded too.

Which number edition is yours ?

Ah yes, forgot about the seats.  Really high sides; the bolsters don't last long against in/out traffic.

Nice looking car @Kitkat!

Welcome to TLF, always nice to have another Esprit owner join us. Is this your first Lotus?

I have made many mistakes in my life. Buying a multiple Lotus is not one of them.

Did you get to drive the Excel? They're an excellent way to get into Lotus ownership, fun, reliable and underrated. 😉
