Returned home from Great Ormond Street and reunited as a family. Surgery went well and great to be back together as a family. Not seen my other daughter for a week and the cuddle she gave me was pricless. Great Ormond Streets care is incredible. It's something money can't buy. It's the people. We will forever be in there debt

As we all have a Lotus you would have thought this would be the most used thread, but no posts in a week. Gosh!

So, as you may be able to deduce from my other posts tonight I am 4.5 hours into a 6 hour train journey from London to Dundee on Virgin East Coast.

So why am I happy?

Well they keep feeding me with gourmet hot sausage rolls, with gourmet brown sauce and copious amounts of wine.

So why am I happy?

Cos it's all free as I'm in first class, living the life of riley as I destroy my cardiovascular system and burst out of my trousers.

Ooops, must dash, the wine trolley is here again.

Red, white or rose Sir? Well, one of each please my dear chap. It would be rude not to....

I can remember the Cornish Riviera Express, first class Pullman silver service, magnificent!! I was on my way back to Teignmouth with a new half shaft for the MG TC.... 1967, or thereabouts.

 

Today I'm happy because I have just had the last spasm of chemotherapy for the prostate cancer. Hoping the PSA starts plummetting once more, and I can get back to recovering from being a constantly tired, breathless, eye watering, unsteady wreck. Get that done by June and then take my boat to Paris.....as long as the PAF lets me back into France...

Today I am loving my accountants!! Tax rebate on its way, how they managed that I have no idea but it made me very happy. I shall spend most of it at GST no doubt :lol:

Great news @molemot and I wish you and a full and a speedy recovery.

Finally did my tax return today to be told the tax man actually owes me some money for a change, first time in years I have not had to pay extra. So gave the wife the figure I'm getting back and told her to go and book a holiday for the two of us... Thanks HMRC....:thumbup:

I shall wear my best 3 piece suit and a pocket square to make sure you know exactly where to aim your guns you tardy socialist pigs! Damn you, you flat-cap wearing socialists with your hob nail boots and 30 dirty little children in your little terraced houses.  

Just make sure my last meal is a nice bit of foie grais, a fillet steak with thrice cooked chips in goose fat and a nice bottle of claret....  :2guns::wine:

Not happy at all. Went to start the Elan which i had not used for several weeks due to work and family issues. connected battery and it started first turn of the key the got the normal belt squeal and the battery light did not go out.Alternator seized or frozen. I will try again when the weather gets better. Hope its just frozen. Realy need a garage. Two lotus and i cant use ether. Grrr.
