I finished watching that on Tuesday, absolute disgrace Mr Bates was a true legend and still is to this day. I shall sign now

Don't have much to do with people who seek power in religion. Just as bad as power hungry business people or corrupt local and national politicians.

One of my neighbours was a church elder. An upholder of the faith and protector of christian values.

Just out of spite, he bought land behind my neighbours house to stop him gaining access/buying the land. Just a spiteful act.

The land was never used for anything. Never enjoyed. The elder is dead now, lot of good it did him.

Hardly very christian like.

Yeah!!!! 4th of March can't come soon enough.

That's the date I've been given for the Evora to go into bodyshop as all the required parts have finally been gathered together - I don't know what it took to achieve it but the Unobtanium mines clearly managed to get some product out the door eventually, :rolleyes:.

It'll only be a few days shy of 18 months since it was so rudely trampled on by the X5 in the hospital car park, but finally the wrongs are going to be righted and I can look forward to my P&J regaining her stunning good looks.

It'll be great too, to fill up my weekend diary with shows and other motoring-related events. I wonder if I can sue for 'emotional distress' over all the days out I had to cancel last year? That's the modern way of doing things after all, isn't it?

Indeed it is Andy (or should that be It/That? :P) - wouldn't dream of it going anywhere else and the other party's insurance accepted my 'specialist car, specialist repairer' comment without demur. 

Just got to see what they give me as an appropriate courtesy car as apparently I'm entitled to one from the 'premium' range - so that'll be a Hyundai i20 rather than an i10 then? :rolleyes:

Chatted to this gas engineer today in Piccadilly. He services the gas lamps. 1300 left in London, this one special as it retains the mechanical timer from the 1880s. He has to reset it every 2 weeks, as per the original design but he says the modern alternative timers break frequently. 

He loves his job. London Gasketeers has it's own website, set up to campaign to keep the flames alive.

What ever you do, don't do what I did and get the Ecoboost Mustang, I thought I was being clever as it's cheaper to run as a daily.  The engine is thrashy and absolute bollocks and the manual is notchy and vague.

I've got rid of it after a week and bought this instead, a V8 auto.  I'm poorer but much happier!

I think we all could have told you, you had made a mistake. Personally, I just didn't think you were were stupid enough not to buy the 5.0 in the first place.  :sofa:

Car tax on the V8 is £700 so I thought I could do it on the cheap.  

So I’ve got 3 V8’s now.  I’m off Greta’s Christmas card list.

Got my car tax reminder through today for the Evora Sport 410 - it's now dropped to a very agreeable £212.50

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.
