You filed and were granted a patent on an anti turbo device and will become the worlds next millionaire ?

What made me happy today was the intelligence and humour of this forum.

Glad you can keep smiling mate. I so hope it gets sorted for you......

As for me, I've been at the car with the silicone gun and can confirm the elimination of one significant water leak into my passenger compartment. Unfortunately its come too late for my nice new carpets which have rotted and need replacing again! Bummer!

I now need new door seals and hopefully we'll have a dry car for once! :respect:

Despite having the Simon350S anti turbo blocking device installed on my Esprit, Today one of my neighbours children had an over nite guest. As they were walking down the street towards the bus stop. The friend had his jaw dropped to his knees seeing my motorcar awaiting the recovery truck. Great to see the excitement on his face as I told him it was okay to approach the car and he could even sit in it if he so desired. So that moment of boyhood excitement wasted away days of frustration with the dealer. Reminding me how lucky I am and blessed to have temporary ownership of my exotics. So in typical child fashion he whipped out his mobile phone camera and took some photographs. Sure to be showing them to all of his friends at school for the remainder of the day.

Looks fab!

Will be happy on Friday and probably voted the best husband in the world when I collect my wife's Matra Bagheera from the workshop after the final instalment of a five year running restoration. Panel gaps now perfect...will see if I can post photos ( Bibs, I apologise in advance if the Forum crashes with my planet size photos..again)

Though this be madness yet there is method in it ( Polonius in William Shakespeare's Hamlet)

Just watched "Leon" on the telly. Great film, brilliant acting by Natalie Portman, Gary Oldfield and Jean Reno.

Trev, I take it that your camera has malfunctioned as I can't find the pictures.........

I'm surprised that you aren't trying to tell us that the interior was custom-dimensioned to your sylph-like frame!

Anyway, have lots of fun. I'll be looking for it on Pistonheads next week......

In theory there is no difference between theory and practice.<br />

In practice, there is!

Well it didn't happen today....

This is kind of a mixture between Paul's sad thread and this more happy number... Felt it best placed in here though.

I had yet another fantastic time away with the wife last weekend, we went out and partied hard in Oceana Milton Keynes with some friends, suffered for it the next day though.

That what not what was so special though.

I met quite possibly one of the most amazing and inspirational men on the planet, we had a night in around the dining table, Lisa sipped champagne on the back lawns and rediculously expensive wines when we retired inside...

I was treated to some motivational pep talks following my embarrasment of admitting I'm working in a factory on minimum wage, told that my dreams still can come true even though right now everything seems so difficult.

We had the most fantastic of evenings, Lisa danced around the kitchen without a care in the world, it was so nice to see her relaxed around an equally inspirational woman....

Fun was had, tears were shed, promises made to not be strangers in the future and an open invite to our home at any time was given.

Who are these people?

My uncle and aunt.

I've not seen them for over 10 years, Lisa has never met them as they were not at our wedding, for reasons not suitable for public forum discussions...

I have 2 cousins I learnt more about who are getting on well in their lives but were not home as one is in Uni studying Polotics and the other is working in London finding his feet in the business world, we hope to meet up with them later in the year as last time I saw them they were VERY young indeed, theres a chance they will not even recognise me I guess....

Its a very sad story I have shed many a tear about over the years, but for me anyways, I feel I have made a step further forward in my personal relationship with them.

One day I hope to have all my family togeather at my house for a gathering, so far it seems this may never happen, but I still hold that dream close to my heart.

I for one am just happy I have made that move and feel a positiveness in my heart for the time we spent togeather last weekend.

  • 2 weeks later...

Popped around Sparky's today for a coffee, a chat and a good look at my dodgy hand brake cable. Cheers Sparky. Got to see Felix's mean High Wing and Internet's GT3.

Then barbaque and footy around a mates house. A good day other than the result and that goal we should've got.

What made me happy on Friday was fixing the charger on the laptop (the replacement didn't work) so I could get back on to the forum.

Today what made me happy was seeing an Evora in 3 dimensions for the first time. I even got to sit in it. (It was in the showroom of the local Lotus dealer.) Was smaller than I expected which is a good thing in my view as I like small cars but plenty of room inside. All I need to do now is save $80,000. Somehow, I don't think that's going to happen but loved it all the same.

Found out today that the Wiper motor for my Facel Vega is in the country. This one part has held up restoration for about a year now. Rebuilt in the UK - crap job took 3 months did not work properly. Tried again with a different specialist, another 3 months wasted. Sent it back to America (it is an American part) took months but was being shipped back in April. Then fecking Iceland exploded & airfreight services went haywire. Shipment was "found" a week or two ago in South America. It is now in the UK clearing customs

And My Esprit now has a ramp ready for it at GST, so work commences this week
