A very enjoyable day, lots of friendly people, (will not mention the rain) .Agree with all the comments posted - and add my thanks to all who made this day possible. I know how much hard work goes into these days - just to make them look easy!

Pictures added to "Concours" forum.

Great event to attend, well done to Bibs et al for organising it.  Keep the pictures coming folks, I just need to figure out how to get the images off my nokia as I forgot to put my memory card back in my camera. Double Doh!

Thanks to Bibs and Laura for organising and Trev, Chris and Gary for the parking. I hope Bazza and Guy have dried out after their hard work on the concours as well.

Great turn out considering the weather and definitely a more interesting venue than Donington would have been I reckon.

Thanks to the organisers, great to make new friends and put faces to names. The weather was a drag but didn't seem to dampen any sprits. Good venue too. Overall good day.

Wow! I wish I could have gone. It looks like a great day with some fabulous cars.

I hope no-one minds me mentioning this here but every Lotus Club and every Lotus owner is invited to MLOC (Midlands Lotus Owners Club)'s annual summer do at Chatsworth, Derbyshire over the weekend of the 26th & 27th July. There should be upwards of 150 cars but the more the merrier.

Have a look on the MLOC site for all the gen, and photos of the last 2 year's events.

Thanks.

Dean

Off course the LEGS convoy may have to bring passports next year! Gulp. Stupid bloody idea.

Drive home was only 7 hours including 1 fuel and 1 food stop. Only saw 1 other Lotus. A red Esprit to toot and wave at. After we got rid of the rain and spray about 1.5 hours out we made great time on well deserted roads. Well worth the just shy of 1,000 miles round trip squeezed in. Still nothing in comparison to some. Typically though Central Scotland was bathed in sunshine, cloudless and windless all weekend. What a wonderful upside down country we live in!

Big thanks from me to all who were involved in any way.

Now Bibs the trick is to fit into my rota next year!

Cheers

Al.

Al,

I think that may have been me, we're you in the red evora or silver esprit V8?

I tried to catch a photo of you both, I've got the nose of the evora, a great one of the esprit then one of you both from behind.

I'm having trouble uploading photos from my phone, it says the file type isn't allowed? I'm on android now it was a doddle with an iPhone so once figured.out I'll put them on.

80% of the UK population live within a 2 hour drive of MBW.

While I appreciate 80% of UK Evoras live that distance from Aberdeen, you guys have enough huge meets up there with LEGS :D

I must add to the long list of thanks and praise for the excellent day - well done Bibs and all who contributed.

Really bad luck with the weather - it was a pity that it curtailed some of the engine bay peeping and nattering, but seeing the long line-up made it all worth it, even in the rain.

(I live nearby and the following day was actually sunny and warm apart from a very brief bout of rain at about 4 PM - very frustrating)

Very impressed with MBW hospitality - let's hope they can have us back next year, and perhaps allow a few more spaces, as this was evidently a popular event.

Thanks again all.

I'd like to add another big thank-you to all involved in organising the event. We had a great day although the weather meant we spent more time in the brooklands museum and MBW than meeting the Lotus folks.
