I've had a stroke? :getmecoat:

All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

Opinions are like armpits. Everyone has them, some just stink more than others.

As per the other posts, it was a fantastic day, many thanks to those that worked so hard to set it up and marshalled on the day. Superb variety of cars there today. Fab!

Well done to one and all, Great atmosphere from like minded people.  managed to get there and back

without incident, 300 miles bedding in the new donkey. Unfortunately got a telling of from a track Marshall

for the parade lap..  I think the Esprit was a bit noisy for them..!!!!!

Big thanks to the organisers, marshals, MBW and everyone who brought a car for us to look at and chat about. This was the first Lotus event i've been to (despite years of ownership) and it really was a nice atmosphere and enjoyable day.

loved chatting to the chaps with the Carltons and the look on my 7yr old sons face climbing back into our Elise for the trip home.

It was a great day. Thanks everyone.

It was nice to meet fellow GTE owners Gav and Dom, as well as expectant owner Simon, whose "baby" is due in October. I am sure we will now all keep in contact.

Mine's still running-in: up to about 440 miles so far, so still taking it easy.

Bibs should get an Honorary Knighthood for services to Lotus Cars: I doubt I would be the lucky owner of a GTE, if it wasn't for the information provided on here.

Looks like you all had a great time, all down to Bib's, Laura and the marshal's. I hope we helped out a bit by keeping the shitty weather up in the North of Scotland for you.

A big thanks to everyone from me an Ben as well, including the group from Clacket Lane that let us tag along to Brooklands.

We had a great time and will definitely be back again!

It was good to meet some people from the forums, I wish we had taken more time for talking, it was a bit overwelming seeing all the cars lined up.

I have made many mistakes in my life. Buying a multiple Lotus is not one of them.

Just to add my thanks to the people who tirelessly helped for minimum wage creme eggs quotas to make the day a great success. I'd been really looking forward to it for weeks and genuinely had a chance to enjoy it thanks to them sharing the load and taking most of it off me!

Thanks also to everyone who travelled from near and far to make it such a great day. And also to the sun for shining!

MBW and Brooklands are great to us, excellent and easy organisations to deal with so a big  to them including Hayleigh and Tom from MBW and Valerie from the Museum and all their staff and helpers on the day.

How cool was the TLF logo on all the screens around MBW too, bought a tear to my eye :D

Even the marshals enjoyed themselves, honest. Many thanks to the team - Paul, Sarah, Chris, Pete, Dunc, Martyn, Filip, Ben, and at least a couple of others whose names I shall shortly recall!

I await a response from the MG Owners Club regarding my invoice for marshalling and navigational aid.

You aced it, Bibs. And despite her protestations I'm sure Laura was somehow involved!

A big thank you to Bibs and Laura for a wonderful day. Well worth the cost of the membership for a year just for this one event. Parade laps where fantastic even if my car did throw a belt. Lovely to see all of your cars, perfect day for a lotus nut. Finally not forgetting a big thank your for the marshals too.

Another huge thank you to everyone who made yesterday such a great day out. Even mrs p is now a lotus convert and wants an elan sprint! I can imagine a LOT of work went into the planning, and it really paid off. Going to have to try and volunteer for high viz duty next year...
