We had a great time last year, the weather was kind and it was good to meet fellow TEFers there. Mark posted lots of ace pictures:

And finally - clearance has come through for this one from the diary booking secretary

@Barrykearley, will you be making an appearance sir? Car running?

If I can get Christine running first, I may be able to get along (not in Christine though).

Yup - just a slight alternator issue presently. But will charge the battery up worse case and bring some jump leads ?

Need to make more of an effort - but it's raining and I'm busy refitting a bathroom and sorting this bloody barn conversion out whilst trying to slot in some paying work !!

Yes, looking forward to it. I should be there subject to the esprit being healthy! It's been reliable for 4 years but the last month not so good but at least it's now only 2 shades of midlife crisis red instead of 50 and handling a lot better with its new 4x4 ride height.

Im going, looking at the weather though I may leave Bristol a little later in the morning & hope to miss the 'heavy stormy showers'.

..later you leave, the more caravans are likely to overturn on the M4 causing the normal mahem..

Busted gear change cable on the Elise on the way down. If I can get back this evening will hopefully be down in the Esprit.

I've got a track package up for sale if anyone wants to give me a few quid for it. Can't use the Esprit on track as its to noisy !

What a good day out! We really enjoyed that. It is just such a chilled event. The weather was kind as well, if somewhat overcast and windy. Ace company too, the famous (infamous?) Mr Kearley, Barrie complete with four wheel sex Essex, Mr Blanchard, great to meet Steve from Bristol (Esprit17) with his V8. Spoke to lots of other owners, all very friendly. What an eclectic mix of cars there as well, I think just about every Lotus model made, including Sunbeams, a Lotus Escort, Lotus Cortina, Carlton plus all the historic ones. The lunch time "parade" was a blast, I think Barry and I had a unspoken competition as to who could make the most noise on the circuit. I think he won, well also a clear winner in the most black smoke contest...

Well done Club Lotus and thank you. Will definitely be back yet again next year.

Whilst the weather was grey, it stayed dry.

Many thanks to Mike (MPx) for bringing his two Loti. My brother-in-law and myself enjoyed that short burst ?

Also thanks to Martin for taking my young nephew around - indoctrination starts at an early age ?

Probably more Lotus cars here this year than any other Castle Combe in recent memory. Good turnout.

Always do sober what you said you'd do drunk - that will teach us to keep mouth shut!

Twas indeed very good.  The big +2 and type 14 Elite displays meant that we were all bunched together more than normal so the sight was full and lovely cars to look at everywhere.  Track was busier than normal - good for CL but not quite as good for me as it meant spending most of the day in a queue for a session - and also only managed 4 whereas Its been 5 or 6 for the last few years.  It was more tricky to get a clear lap in without having to slow before passing or slow to be passed.  But still great fun and very enjoyable.  Sorry not to have said hi to you guys on here.  Actually spent so long in the queue I hardly spent any time even with the LEC crowd that I was nominally with.  Glad you enjoyed the Elan Ian...but sad for you that there were only two laps, which was the shortest parade I've ever known there!

Loving Lionel and Eleanor......missing Charlie and Sonny
