Evora market watch, for discussion and to help those searching!

I contacted them this morning to confirm the seating as it looked like 2+2 but stated 2 seats. They replied and I was planning on ringing back after lunch but it seems to have sold in between! Should have been quicker.....

The one on Collecting Cars was cheaper. And a 2016. Now with a dealer at 47k which I think is too much. The IPS in N Ireland has been unsold for 12+ months, reduced to 44k but still no takers.

Early 40s is where 15 and 16 plate 400s should be hence why that one (apparently) sold and very few others do.

Demand for pre-400s and later 400\410 seems stronger than for 15 16 plate.

It’s amazing some of the comments on values.
if a car sells quick - then it’s priced right. Sat for months on end - and it’s clearly overpriced.
Without doubt it can be a buyers market - but if the cars priced correctly there are buyers whom will queue up to complete the deal and you could argue it’s a sellers market.

There are always prices to sell and those that ask higher and willing to wait it out.  Christ, there’s some 400’s at dealers that must have been for sale for at least a year, if not a couple nearer 18-24 months.

Personally when selling I’ve found the right price means it sells within 2 weeks.

Be interesting to see what happens when new model is launched and more used cars hit the market

Do miss my Evoras , especially the 400 Auto.  Great cars

The collecting cars one may have been registered in 2016 but it's an early model.

I look at what's on the market at the moment and continue to think that 51-52k for my low mileage manual Hethel edition would be very fair indeed once lockdown has ended.

Which shows what a good buy it was!

Almost 3yrs in your ownership for £8k?

Sadly yes. Even though I had it a short time, lots of issues started appearing. The worry about what else would go wrong with it was taking over the enjoyment of the car.

I just hope he's got the problems sorted. Wouldn't want anyone else to get into trouble with it. The door catches were on back order from lotus. Speak belt, knocking from the front right, and spanner illuminating for 30 seconds, and not convinced the AC was working.

Sold already, waiting collection.

Blessed with the competence to be a slave to the incapable.

Currently without a Lotus, Evora 400 Hethel Edition in Racing Green with Red leather and 2010 Evora N/A in Laser Blue and 1983 Lotus Excel LC Narrow body in Ice Blue all sadly gone.

The blue Evora that was sent back recently. It seemed like very small niggles that simply pissed off the buyer. Probably more the selling dealers response that soured the deal rather than the car itself. Who knows. I’m used to cars that need work so never bothers me. They are for driving after all.

The Evora 400 at Targa Florio cars has just went up in value to £52990. Do they know something we don't. That's a large increase in price.

Suppose that’s the same as that blue komotec one, that was 57, 62, 64 and god knows whatever now.

I saw the same happen with the delta Integrale, certain cars that didn’t sell just kept on going up and up.

This is dealers trying to set the market price for these cars, I have seen this a lot with the V6 clips and Alfa GTA’s thing is though it doesn’t work and they never sell them.
they have probably got a bit scared with that evora 400 at £40k that just sold which pretty much the same car. Now that sold in less than a week which shows that is was priced about right. Now there are no cheap ones about it’s a good opportunity to try raise the retail price, but in my experience they will just sit on the forecourt and not sell or take ages to sell.

Evoras at £25k don’t tend to hang about. Folks shouldn’t be picky and dwell when one is in front of them.

Seems to vary... the one I've just bought from Jon Seals at £25k had been on sale since July? Still wondering why it didn't shift quicker, its  a clean car, low miles, good though not perfect service history, 2+0, years warranty... maybe I'll find out soon!?

To be fair everyone’s circumstances are different. From what I understand the previous owner needed it as his daily drive and needed to leave it outside without a garage, not  ideal if the windows drop down and the door latches are on back order.
