  1. How about some nice large Lotus / TLF stickers😀
  2. sounds like a lot of work, not cleaned mine since I got the evora. Now have an Alcantara wheel in the M100. Brush After Every Drive: Spend a minute after each journey to gently brush the steering wheel. This quick step is crucial for removing oils, dead skin cells, and everyday dirt.
  3. looks as if someone is about to use the ejector seat and has just released the cockpit canopy.
  4. MG4 owners have had problems with the 12v battery going flat in various circumstances, can you get in the bonnet (assume 12v battery is under there) and connect a 12v charger to it? The other things that MG4 owners have seen is a loose battery connection on the 12v battery and that the 12v battery often seems to have less capacity the normal cars - so goes flat quicker. (Don't know much/anything about Eletre, only driven one once!)
  5. Has been suggested that Emeya demos are due to dealers next month.... but time will tell. Didn't hear about any sort of launch event.
  6. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-66866327 Which says, (had not heard the second point before....) "Our preferred approach is to let them burn themselves out," says Mr Maher. Electric cars are also known to reignite "up to two or three weeks after the initial fire", says Mr Maher, meaning they have to be "quarantined" away from other vehicles even after the fire appears to have been put out.
  7. The Bond Exige at Lotus Exeter has been sold and was picked up today. Spotted a LF1 outside.
  8. Lotus Exeter : most of the cars gone, a few Lotus left, one is an Eletre with frontal damage! Still taking service bookings. Most of the performance cars have gone (one AM in showroom). Today doing a handover of the Bond V6 Exige to a guy who has a LF1 Exige in p/ex. Still customers cars in workshop presumably waiting parts. The clothes/knick knacks in the showroom have gone. No proper closure announcements made yet, maybe Hendy may just 'forget'. It seems Lotus Eastleigh have a proper showroom now, so it looks like they will be continuing. Look to now be in the former Renault showroom.
  9. Clocks change ...from FB..
  10. Have been following topics on the MG4 EV, and they often report that the heating and its temp settings are weird. Some seem to have found that some things don't work as you may expect in eco mode.

In 1939, the airline adopted the call sign, deriving it from the airline’s emblem, which featured a stylized seagull in flight. Speedbird House was an office block at Heathrow Airport. It was originally the headquarters of BOAC and, until the company moved, of British Airways
  13. 9 Emeya are now listed on AT as being available https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-search?make=LOTUS&model=Emeya&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly New&postcode=ex66aq&radius=200&sort=distance so can't be that long to be launched at ones local dealer?
  14. Have written to a couple of chaps at Lotus - but not holding up much hope. (none actually)
  15. Nope, only what I speculated about above. Don't think that the guys in Exeter know. Will be popping in on their last day on Saturday.
  16. Hendy Lotus Exeter, Been out for a spot of shopping.... and managed to get in the Hendy car park, even though there was a transporter in front of the Lotus showroom. Looked to have 5 or 6 Emira's loaded up. He had just stowed the loading ramps. There was another empty transporter on the other side of the main road outside - helping to hold the traffic up. Cars were trying to get in/out of the Honda car park as well. Chaos. There was a least 1 Eletre outside. The next door to the showroom part looked a bit more vacant as we tried to get past the transporter. Closing date this Saturday.
  17. I only use E5 in all my cars, 2 MG, Elan M100 and Evora and all the mowers/quads. There are loads of chats in the internet re E5/E10. I had a problem with one of the quads, rang up my quad 'expert/service' place, and one of his first questions was about what petrol I had. E10 degrades more quickly so in engines that are not used too often can have starting issues etc. Have seen signs in garden/agri places about draining E10 if you are not going to finish the fuel in a timescale eg 30 days.
  18. Most JLR dealer are having to give up Jaguars so that the new £100k EV models will only be sold by a handful of dealers - hope they keep some of the other service agents for when this happens with their next range of electric cars. May be just a few to be recalled again but... if a 2019 Jaguar I-Pace is charged over 85%, smoke or fire may erupt from the high-voltage battery, which could result in injuries and property damage if the car is parked indoors The fix is still under development, and until Jaguar comes up with a permanent solution, it advises customers to only charge their EVs to a maximum of 75% SoC and to only park outside and away from buildings. https://insideevs.com/news/713804/2019-jaguar-i-pace-battery-fire-risk-recall/?fbclid=IwAR3GSk8__6c9NQsCVDDuyWilDfyiH4_-oT2bZMBn87oeJqaxtOsJYpbrAPM_aem_AWoHLOD9v5ffGQ6eCwxn8p43gQJCiNR1yzCf1o6796761zwxyZr2NI6v_O2UYbmupMK8TMxTVO92iLWzIwyY9vTk
  19. MG 4 owners have similar issues. Certainly puts one off buying a modern hi tech car.
  20. Wouldn't the ship have been under the 'control' of a harbour pilot? Certainly a very dramatic collapse.
  21. With 2 quad bikes, 2 large flail mowers plus a ride on and an push mower, we often visit a petrol station with a couple of empty cans. Don't think we would consider changing all the petrol stuff to electric until hell freezes over.
  22. Probably has been filling up 5l cans for taking home to put in the mower to cut the grass or similar.
