My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

I wonder when we will see the car go faster than me running. And I am not fast at all...

So you've not seen the video of it being driven on track and sliding round the corners then?

Oh, I did not mean the test vehicle from that fast cut video (no spoiler up so probably not even that fast) nearly half a year ago but an actual close to production car. No need to put it on Track, just normal countryside driving would be a sign of progress.

But I know it is worth the wait and I would drive to Lotus Garage within like 200 mls just to take a look at it. Since I doubt I will see one driving around in the real world.

Where did you find the Evija configurator @C8RKH? Can't find it anywhere. I want to see what it looks like in Motorsport Green natch!

So not available to joe public? Really short sighted if so. Lambo eventually got a return on their investment in the Countach from all those posters on bedroom walls. Can someone explain the downside to letting the general public dream about your new hypercar? It would help sales among the super rich if anything. Something as basic as the other configuators would be fine and enough to get people sharing online.

Not if said configurator requires a Radeon RX VEGA 64  or GeForce GTX 2080 TI or worst a Quadro graphics card to render adequately, the experience on any "subpar" material would be horrendous and on up to par material it would still be laggy and pixelized...  from what I've seen the studio that engineered the configurator does GPU intensive rendering... I agree it would do wonders for the brand if people could play with the car but if the gaming experience is gonna be rubbish I don't really see what is the point...

I’m all for customers getting special treatment and that an Evija configurator should be the best of the best for serious buyers if Lotus can afford it but I can’t see the benefit in excluding dreamers from the process.

Looks like us plebs got this as yet unpromoted video.

I took a screenshot from a Video that Lotus had put up - wish I had the cash to get a personal visit for a "design session" as in Red it looks gorgeous. I have to say that in yellow it too looks striking and in black, with the black wheels it would not look out of place as it is in a Batman movie - it looks menacing in all black. Really is a stunning piece of design from Lotus.

Looks great @Bibs but will it be like the mythical Evora spider?

I just wish that I would be able to physically see one, but I can't imagine one ever getting to the Land of Oz. :(

All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

That Evija roadster is a thing of beauty, but it would require reengineering the door openings so not holding my breath on that one... also the coupe is already worth a popstar ransom so a roadster would be commanding some ungodly amount of  money.
