News on remanufacture of 205 60 VR14

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

After extensive research..

Looking for a census of owners and specialists who would be prepared in principle, to purchase Avon 205 60 VR14 tyres for their cars and clients.

A mould has been found, I believe it may be that of Turbospeeds of the period and will be of the long time missed V speed rating.

As we all know there is a very limited choice for this size and no options other than H rating.

About time a period high quality tyre was offered to compliment the handling dynamics of our cars.

Esprit, Eclat and Elite....

If interested please let me know. We need numbers to make this happen.

Regards

Rich

Sounds good, I'd be up for a set of 4 depending on cost.

It could also be worth reaching out to owners of Celicas prior to around 1990, and of MR2s which used this size with the V rating on the rear.

Cheers, Richard

What sort of compound would the tyres be made from Richard - something "modern" or a reproduction of the original (45yr old) type?  I'll need some tyres in about 12 months time, but they will need to be the best road-legal performance tyre available.

Thanks

Pete

I would be very interested.
I have just bought a 79 Elite that needs a full set and have a 87 Turbo Esprit.

Any idea how long this might take, the Elite needs to be on the road again this month?
