Ferrari have now said they have found an old working turbo and may not take a penalty

Start at back of the grid, be a difficult race for the red cars.  Walk in the park for RB in qual?

How about Alonso taking off Max at turn 1. The rain made qualy a bit more interesting. Was GR  courageous or foolhardy.

The wet quali achieved nothing, but it did serve to mix up the grid. Predicted to be a dry race, so it will be interesting to see those who should have been further up the grid trying to make their way through.

Interesting how the people making excuses for Hamilton this year never made the same excuses for bottas when he had he had all the bad luck

Not here, don't think I've made any excuses for Lewis and certainly never bashed Bottas much as thought he was the perfect #2 driver who could be relied upon to keep Hamilton honest and when Hamilton f@@ked up or had a mechanical Bottas was always a good shout for the win. He also was a great qualifier.

All I am pointing out is how with Hamilton it was all "boring", a "procession" and because of the car. Whilst Verstappen it is all about how great he is.

One big difference though. Bottas was in the best car for years, which Hamilton used to great effect, unlike Bottas. This season’s Mercedes clearly isn’t the best car.

Can anyone arrange for the race start to be delayed until after the TG Emira piece.

Wasn't talking about performance,  Hammilton had 7 years of mostly good luck while bottas seemed to get all the bad luck, this season Hamilton is getting his share of bad luck and it gets mentioned whereas bottas's was rarely mentioned.

Better than expected for the Mercs, was hoping the Ferrari would get past Max

Another stunning drive by Max, those last few laps were nail-biting. I thought Sainz was sure to pass him, but he stood firm.

I see Alonso has got a penalty for weaving, so he’s back down to 9th.

With Hamster bagging 3rd, Merc must have solved their porpoising problem so Hamster didn’t have to give us another Oscar-worthy performance exiting his car.

Looks as if they have not solved things - 2 weeks to the British  GP..

Mercedes feel they have dispensed with the aerodynamic porpoising problem that afflicted them in the early race of the season, but are still suffering with another key issue - bouncing caused by a very stiff suspension set-up.

They made progress in Canada by raising the car and running the suspension softer, but what succeeded in improving the car's ride did not improve its performance.

This is a vicious circle that Mercedes do not yet know how to find a way out of. They expect to be more competitive at the next race, the British Grand Prix, because the long, fast corners and smooth track surface will suit their car.

What is Jackie Stewarts problem with Hamilton? (Now saying his career is over and he needs to "resign" from F1). Is he just pissed off that Lewis has won more? Is it race related ( i.e. the fact he is english)? He seems determined to talk Hamilton down and ensure he does not surpass Schumacher's number of WDCs?

Any respect I had for Stewart has long since gone due to his obvious, well in my very humble opinion, discrimination against Hamilton.
