Seems to me that every five minutes there’s another so-called expert that we’ve never heard of, from some piss-pot university we‘ve never heard of, gobbing off about where the government got it wrong, and what the rest of us mere mortals should be doing with our lives, which generally contradicts the previous expert.

As a result, I’ve taken the decision to ignore the twats, and stick with @C8RKH’s advice because despite the fact that he apparently lives north of the Arctic circle and is therefore clearly a few apples short of an orchard, I sincerely believe he’s the world authority in the specialist subject of pissing it up.

@Chillidoggy, most people get tested for their blood type:A; B; AB; O etc.

I get tested for variety: Merlot; Pinot Noir; Syrah; Grenache etc.

Thanks, mate.

It’s comforting to know your dogged diligence in paying NI contributions is helping to support ageing old retirees like me. The free prescriptions I’m getting now are saving me a fortune, and those 910 engine rebuilds aren’t cheap, you know.

You'll be fine @Chillidoggy as I've got another 15 years of contributions to go...

However, thanks to the English tax payer subsidies I get free eye tests, free prescriptions, free personal care, etc...

In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

As of today yes, but in 5 years time you’ll still have another 15 years to go :P

However, to give you something to look forward to, I can confirm that life is good on the back of defined benefit pensions aided by the paltry state bit

An estimated 500,000 flock to the beach at Bournemouth 😮

Time to end the furlough scheme, if people are happy to put themselves at risk crowding on to a beach then they should be happy to go back to work and the teachers & kids go back to school. :wallbash:

Just taking the piss with the scheme now, should have nay been extended on a rolling week basis

So Victoria, where I live, has had 77 new cases in a week since relaxing restrictions.

So they tightened things up again as you would expect to stop it.

But the best part? The stupid, idiotic, brain dead, pathetic halfwits that call themselves humans have panic bought the shops empty again.

The world contains a lot of morons.

If I was Bournemouth council, I would have been very tempted to leave the 22 tonnes of rubbish on the beach, for a week or two, rather than immediately tidying it up....

ID everyone on the beach using ANPR cameras and all the pictures and dump the rubbish in their gardens.

Was the number really 500,000? That’s what reported here.

I still don’t understand.  The latest Government advice with distancing is 1.5metres and more if you can. So Jacob Rees-Mogg announces in Parliament on Thursday afternoon that the Driver Training Industry can return to work from 4th July and specifically mentions Motorbike then HGV and PCV and car Instructors.

Bike training (easy - Helmet on and keep a distance) HGV and Bus (relatively easy sitting opposite side of the vehicle) Car (F#%ing impossibility) - As a car Instructor, how the f#%k am I supposed to keep 1.5 metres from pupils whilst Instructing pupils?
Whist not having worked since 21st March I am delighted to start back in a weeks time. From an income point of view it’ll be good, but having 6 different 17-18 years olds sat shoulder to shoulder with me for 10 hours a day, 6 days a week is not something I can get away from.

As far as I am concerned there isn’t a 1.5 metre rule anymore. It’s now zero. 👎😷

Not that brilliant if I need to grab the steering wheel 15-20 times a day. Or release handbrake, or gear change for them ect ect.

It’s going to be 1 metre plus from 4 July, isn’t it? Still not ideal within a car, but you allegedly have a 1 in 1700 chance of encountering a coronavirus infected person at the moment. I would just take all precautions if I was you. Face coverings for both, hand sanitiser, maybe disposable gloves. Our local UPS van driver has a big bottle of water and squirty soap, so that he can wash his hands properly on breaks throughout the day.

Yes all of the above plus I’m required to sanitize the car every time there is a driver change - 5 pupils a day means 10 internal car cleans a day. Windows open for air circulation ect ect. Also just ordered one of these thermal temperature takers to point at all of the pupils before they get in.

Putting my pessimist hat on - with virtually nobody going abroad I’m convinced every man and his dog will head Devon/Cornwall direction this summer.
