I’m assuming none of you with supposed July deliveries have actually heard anything? So earliest feels like it will be august, assuming the month before final confirmation still stands

When I spoke to Lotus last week, just before the official announcement of delays, I was told I'd get a call about my delivery date this or next week.  So looks like it'll be late July or into August for delivery.  Dealer demo cars are expected late July.

Now people have had emails with updates on delivery timeframe, do people want to update this list with their info?

I'm curious if anyone with a pre-reveal deposit has got a Sept build.  I've only seen 5ish people so far with Sept and majority are post reveal deposits.  Several pre-reveals are now Oct or later.

I received communication today that my build slot was allocated for November.  In the month of May I had previously confirmed with Lotus Customer Care that I wanted to delay the order until March next year (owning the car over the winter period make little to no sense for me). At the time Customer care confirmed in writing that this would not be a problem, today I have been informed that as I cannot accept delivery this year I will now move to the back of the queue for 2023.

I guess that Lotus are in a rather enviable position about having plenty of punters lined up and so can afford to not pay too much attention to a single customer.

If I do not get a delivery date pre-June 30th next year I'll be recovering my deposit. I don't need the car, it is purely a weekend toy. That money can be put to better use elsewhere.

I spoke to them last week and asked hypothetically about deferring to next Spring.  They said I'd be put into 2023 but they couldn't let me pick a month or tell me what month it would be.  I was told it would depend on the 2023 production scheduling, which they would start doing in December.  There was an implication the sequence would be based on deposit date order initially, as has allegedly been applied up to now, then juggled based on spec variations versus parts availability.

All this reinforces Lotus is acting with an entirely production-led mindset.  I appreciate that supply chain issues mean they have to shuffle the deck to make production efficient, but refusing to accommodate changes months ahead of actual build and bumping people +6-12 months isn't a good experience for those customers.  Many of us early depositors will have had our specs locked for 12+ months by the time we get our cars.

Coupled with the long waiting list, it gives the impression they just don't care - have the car on Lotus' terms or push off.  I see several people doing exactly that, some quite vocally.  It can't be helping the Eltre order book either.

I bought an Evora 400 in 2016 and the experience couldn’t have been more different. Had a factory tour, collected the car from the factory foc, car delivered on schedule.

 

I can put up with a fair bit and understand the delays but I could be waiting another whole year, if they want to deliver the car int he second half of next year I’ll be pushing into 2024 as I simply don’t want a car near the winter months.

 

The way things are going in this country I may even just decide to invest my money elsewhere in a more productive fashion. Who knows? Let’s see what happens in the next six months.

Tom, sympathy, but I hope you won't resent someone who has cancelled their order suggesting that the sooner the reality of Lotus 2.0 is faced, the less pain might be suffered. 

You put the situation succintly as "have the car on Lotus' terms or push off."  My lengthier version is half way down page 5 of the Emira-update-from-lotus thread.  (Afraid trying to post the full link seems to do unintended things.)

My i4 is now “August 2023”……

Most of the pre-reveal deposit dates got messed up by Lotus, so many of us are now Jan/Feb delivery.

I know one of the early folks has now got a delivery date in Dec and couple of others had Checkout emails on Fri or Mon so might be Dec delivery but Jan more likely.  At least two pre-reveal people have cancelled.
