Have been on the IoM with @Colin P and others. Thought I'd post up some pictures including a Rainbow of Loti at the Sound over looking the Calf.

Spent a fair few miles behind Colin at some serious speeds. The 400 sounds epic with its pops, cracles and snaps. It's a truly epic noise and the auto blip on his ISP version just makes me giggle when he changes down at high speeds. Super car indeed!  Weather has been lind too. Glorious day today including a session at the outdoor karting centre. The spoil sports woukd not let me take the Evora on track though, even when I explained it how it evened up tge power to weight ratios like the young lightweights in the carts. Needless to say the winner was a stunt double for a syringe needle in Dr Kildare.

Oh. And.  Uh. We also met a luggy bugger who has secured a GT430 order.  Woohoo.

And for those that still insist that the N/A is not fast enough I can confirm that I have had absolutely no need to hang around for him.

 His 2bular headers and lotus sport back box sound really good at start up/idle (although must admit I can't hear it over the 400 when moving).

Documentary of the come back of the Ford GT40,  a car that most of us petrolheads would love to have sitting in the garage in kit car form or the real deal.

It goes all the way from the design team, and follows the team members given the task of making a concept car, then ford gives the go ahead and also gives a very short timeline to get the cars to production.  Very intresting watch and includes some of the actual drivers of the lemans teams and also Sir Jackie Stewart as part of the project to sign off the 3 pre production launch models.    They break a ferrari also lol.  

If you have 40 mins well worth a watch imo.

Many's the time in my younger days, I've sat in the Still & West pub there and thought that the ferries to France sailing past looked pretty big at close range but that thing is humungous,  .

We did sail down the River Forth when she was still under construction at Rosyth, but with nothing nearby to give an accurate sense of scale it was difficult to appreciate her sheer scale.

Yep, she's a big old girl having to fit herself through that small gap in the land. It was a good atmosphere down there this morning. The buzz didn't only come from the helicopters whizzing about but the many thousands who turned up to greet HMS QE were genuinely excited when she came into view. As for the size/height thing, I spotted this line of flying men standing to attention over the roofs of the new townhouses at Camber Docks just a minute or two before QE came gliding serenely around the corner.
