My drone business has been successful in applying for a £3,000 advert package in the Mail and Metro!! 

Every single piece of work booked was cancelled so I've some very nice kit sitting around doing nothing really so it's a very welcome boost!

Got a big package from TLF shop with some nice new carbon loveliness in it straight from Lotus. No delays. All parts in stock. Straight forward transaction. Job done. It really is easy to part a fool of their money!

They're sauerkraut now!  They never knew what hit them! A merciful end to a pointless existence....pointless for the cabbage, that is.  Quite meaningful to me if I'm enjoying a sausage for lunch!

Finally go to the bottom of the problem I've been having recently with the after market central locking system which I fitted to the Esprit back in 1992 according to the date labels on the solenoids! Didn't realise it had been on the car that long. Here's to another 25 years of trouble free locking and unlocking without having to stretch across the car to get to the passenger door handle.

Ordered some stuff through Deroure / Bell & Coville. It arrived today and thrown in to the tube with some stickies was one of those lovely 70Th anniversary posters. A really pleasant surprise and a nice touch from DeRoure/Bell & Coville.

Quick question - I ordered the "shark fins" for the sides of my Evora and some new Lotus PPF for the front bumper - how is it best to apply these, should I use some detailer spray and do the "wet mount" approach? Thanks in advance.

Best way to apply ppf - is to get someone who is used to fitting it to do it .

I find the wet approach is always best. Get it nice, wet and slippery and it will go in, I mean on every time.

Picked up my VX from Craig Moncreiff today after some work - new 2.5" Tullett stainless exhaust system (manifold, sport cat, and back box), MOT (passed with zero issues), new crankshaft seal, full service, brake fluid refresh and subframe shims all checked. Clean bill of health and ready for some rock and roll. I took the wrong turning home so I got lost (haha) for 3 hours going up through Dolla, Crook of Devon, Gleaneagles, Creif, Amulrie etc. Some of gods finest driving roads. Just me. Socially distancing in my VX220. The roof down. The sun up.  My fooking poor head has been cooked! God I love this car. For a 19 year old, she looks bloody great. She ain't no virgin, and boy does she know how to delight her man lol...

Don't worry re the wonky plate. It was just velcro'd on for the MOT he he...

 

I think the VX has aged really well. Just look at how modern she looks compared with those blue and red Porkers in front!

 

Also, just treated her to a new reg, so the new plate will be:

Finally finished a weeks worth of 3d printing. Ran out of black, hence the weird base, but will just spray it black.

It was a sunny afternoon here in White Rock so I decided to take the Europa out for a drive. As I was going along the beachfront strip (imaginatively named Marine Drive), what did I see coming along in the other direction but a Countach. I hear the 70s have been calling - they want their cars back.

Unfortunately, no pics as I was driving and didn't have a passenger.
