Having to spend 2 days in hospital after my body decided to reject the new TKI drugs I was prescribed to try to knock back and control the progression which was found in my cancer, on the 2nd day of taking them.

Nothing unusual, it happened with the first medication I was prescribed 6 years ago. Now back home after being stabilised with orders from my Onc to start the fight again tomorrow🙄

Sorry Paul, I just caught up with this thread. I am so sorry to hear this mate. As you know I had an Op to remove some Unusual Skin Cells that had developed where my previous cancer was. However it was diagnosed as an infection and inflammation rather than a return to my cancer. However it has definately woken me up a bit.

Now reading your posts has made me think. Those of us who have been diagnosed in the past always worry about its return. I think it may be a time for change for me. 

I will be thinking of you and I really hope the new drug helps. Then do what YOU want to do, not what the Govt, society or other things dictate. If you want to sell your house and spend 5 years travelling in luxury then do it! If you want to buy an Evora and spend a year touring Europe do it! Fingers crossed for you mate.

Went to London last night to see Beth Hart at the London palladium for my 75th today. Got to the foyer and told the show was cancelled due to illness.

Got my Evora serviced at the ever popular establishment known as Craig Moncrieff's in Edinburgh.  No issue at all with the car. Usual great service and usual great price, the value for money is exceptional especially when you consider he automatically changes the brake fluid every service as a standard item for all the Lotus cars he services as he knows they are usually driven as intended.

So why am I unhappy? Well, turns out I only did around 2k miles in my Evora last year. WTF is that all about? That made me so unhappy I took the long route home from the garage, arrived 3.5 hours later after some 200 miles of a detour

I've obviously got my life choices all wrong. So, I've spoken to the Misses and told her she can sod off with her list of "weekend jobs and demands" as my mistress needs a damn good thrashing every weekend if she is to stay in peak performance.

She understood completely. Just sat in the garage exhausted after blowing up the camping mattress and making a cuppa on the old gas camping stove....

He was back on Friday from one of the Canaries. He does seem to be making up for lost time re his holidays now that he has more staff on the desk etc!

Don't be surprised if he is off to Cuba and next time you see him he has his cowboy boots on and a big Cuban (cigar, not woman - but then with Craig I am sure anything is possible!) stuck out of his mouth!

Wife and daughter off to Cardiff for a basketball selection over the weekend. Booked an AirBNB last night for £500 or so.

They obviously did no research, told there is no parking at the house (on a private street with resident permits). But they can park 1/2 a mile away for £10 a day. I told them to cancel and find somewhere else. Go to cancel, refund will be £188.

FFS - especially as I pay all the credit card bills.

You can get really good branded chain hotels right now for Friday and Saturday at less than £150 a night including breakfast.

I've stopped using Airbnb as to be honest, I often get better value for money from hotels like Hilton, Holiday Inn, Dakota etc - more facilities, lower cost and usually you can cancel at no cost up to 1200/1400 the day before you check-in.

I think a lot of people just assume Airbnb is cheaper and yet from what I have heard if things go Pete Tong then Airbnb couldn't give a shit as a company.

2 nights in a Travelodge (Cardiff M4) this weekend only £139 for 2 adults. Plenty of parking. No brainer.
