    The Hilton & Moss warranty is not terribly good, from experience. H & M are a nice company to deal with. If you like the IPS, go for it. However it's rarity implies a lack of future buyers come re-sale?

    Did you buy it from a dealer, or privately? If the former, they should be fixing these issues free of charge for the first 6 months (Consumer Rights Act 2015). Assuming you're fixing the car because you bought privately, I'd get the car to a Lotus specialist. It honestly doesn't sound too bad to me; just a speed sensor on the way out on the gearbox, or something.

    Just give it time; the looks will grow on you the more you enjoy driving it. I mean, if people can buy modern BMWs (iX, for instance - OMG), your problems are minor

    Not strictly true. For higher-value cars I don't personally feel comfortable with the possibility of being scammed, hence I do SOR with a dealer.

    Out of interest, which tracks have caused you problems so far?

    I seem to remember NA/S pressures were much higher than the -4XX series cars. However, higher pressure makes tyres more resistant to aquaplaning, so you definitely don't want to drop the pressure! I was giving these tyres serious consideration, but on this basis, maybe not......

    Reading the comments, there are a lot of people questioning this guy's methods. The only engine problem I know of with regards to the 2GR-FE is the use of rubber oil lines in the earlier engines, which can be replaced by a better metal one.

    Toyota are the biggest, most reliable car brand on the planet. Their engines are possibly the most dependable of all makes. As long as you buy genuine Toyota parts (which the YTer may not have done......), all will be fine.

    Honestly I might give this a miss. I'm not interested in other brands, nor the Emira/Eletre stuff Hendy will bring.

    Back on topic, I can confirm this is NOT a GT 410 SPORT. It is a GT410, so would be a superb daily driver. It is also a 2+2.

    Sanctioned's website map shows the Matford Centre as being on Days-Pottle lane in the middle of nowhere. Apple Maps puts it right next to the Porsche garage in Marsh Barton. Only Google Maps knows its correct location!

    If you have more than one car, Admiral are particularly good. Otherwise, try Confused.com and pump up your excess for the first (painful) year?
