  1. Din connectors are mostly used for signal cables. You could have a 3 pin DIN connector but that would be something else. DIN connector - Wikipedia
  2. Hi Vu You are in the US? Have you considered a Difflow aftermarket diffuser? You might want to contact Difflow direct or via GregsRaceParts. There may be other stockists. In the UK there is a business that does carbon fibre diffusers for the Evora. They are a bit pricey and I don't know if they do one specifically for the Evora GT. Best of luck.
  3. They don't have the shadow grey @Jack Stone
  4. @C8RKHIt's electrostatic not electromagnetic. Just like when you rub a balloon on your hair the balloon becomes "sticky" and you can stick it to the ceiling. They probably get a hairy guy to rub himself up and down your new car so the paint mist sticks to it.
  5. Inside the wheels coated gloss red? Very nice but will never be seen.
  6. I got a generic sunshade from ebay for 5 or 6 quid and cut it to shape so it fits exactly. I re-sewed the edging material back on to the shade. Edit: My sunshade is an internal one and I cut it to fit the shape of the dash. Between the boot lid and the roof is a panel which people refer to as the sail panel. This is held on with a couple of bolts and tape, if the tape comes unstuck then the panel may come loose and the wind may cause it to fracture. If it looks loose then press it back down so the tape sticks again. There might also be a similar situation with the A-pillars. I've not had a problem with either of these but I do check regularly. The Evora is a great modern day classic. I love it and I'm sure you will too.
  7. One thing I have noticed when getting online quotes for insurance is that if you go through the process more than once then the first quote is always the best and any subsequent quotes they always put the premium up. If you get a good quote, don't dither.
  8. "like" This is the picture to show when people start to query Evora tyre sizes and being small on their rims.
  9. I'm in my sixties now and live in a city and have no claims discount. I started my Evora insurance with LV :- 2019 £544, then included as part of a multicar policy 2019 £357 (equivalent), 2020 £382, 2021 £414, then in 2022 they quoted me £514. This was for an ordinary fully comp multi car insurance. They obviously didn't want my business so I went elsewhere. 2022 Aviva £464 for a better fully comp insurance with additional features including legal cover and protected NCD and breakdown recovery. There still seems to be no benefit to remaining loyal so shop around.
  10. Pretty exclusive. Consider yourself lucky and gifted and knowledgeable.
  11. Full length centre console. Not sure about that.
  12. The pictures have different coloured wheel centres. One is yellow and green and the other is yellow and black.
  13. Both great cars, I'm sure ( My experience of the Emira is all online). The differences are nuanced. Lotus will be hoping that the big difference is the Evora is an exclusive car, they will be hoping the Emira isn't so exclusive.
  14. I think what @Barrykearleysays about the winter dip is probably true and it will pick up in spring. And, in case anyone hasn't noticed there are lots of global and national issues happening recently. And as I have already said, as the Emira comes to be delivered there will be a dip in Evora prices, but I also think that as more people get to know about the Evora, and it is a modern day classic with some attractive features that the Emira doesn't have, then the prices will pick up again. After recovery I can only expect prices to have an upward trend for good examples. All this is also dependent on the availability of affordable petrol and the absence of punitive taxation.
  15. I can see where you are coming from with this. I did wonder if Lotus were doing background checks to see the "calibre" of customer who were going to receive the Emira and create a pecking list. It's probably not feasible.
  16. Maybe the date in the date box was an autofill field at the time the record was created. Nobody available who is smart enough or has the sense of justice to manually adjust the records?
  17. I should probably clarify this statement to avoid confusion - The production of the Emira and Evija would get shelved in the UK (Not the cars owned by you and me). The production of Eletre in China would continue as we wouldn't have any influence over that. Future models 133 and 134.... Still at the pre-manufacture stage and probably owned by Geely. I am only guessing at this and have no factual knowledge. We are thinking about Lotus but Volvo and Polestar are probably in a similar situation.
  18. Assets owned by Geely would still be owned by Geely but might be put into holding? Current live vehicles in the UK would be shelved? The people and skills would move to other businesses? The people and skills would start up a new business? Lotus v3.0?
  19. Funny things seem to happen when the battery starts to fail and now is the right weather for a battery to start failing.
