That really shows the green off nice. A red or tan interior would make it look the dogs....

The small print.

My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

One of the best shots of DV so far.  Agree on the tan interior. I hope I never come across one, in that spec, in gleaming sunlight!!

If it has an engine, I am there to thrash it.

Good to see it also with the silver wheels as that is my preference but I keep changing my mind as I'm going with the yellow and black pack and do wonder if the black wheels will finish it off better 🤔

My i4 was due in January but I put it back to April now as it will just sit in the garage till April anyway.

If I was going with  a black pack I would 100% choose black wheels.

I think the black pack only works on light colours but my actual view on the black pack has been documented and I think it is a 'mistake' to get it.

If it has an engine, I am there to thrash it.

Agree with you @Evotion That the black pack works best with the lighter colours and personally also the black wheels. Add a ceramic coat to keep it looking fresh and unblemished and it will stay as good as new. Does need more careful washing/cleaning but not a problem. 👍

Cool. Lotus have programmed a vehicle parking engine rev as well.

Awesome!

All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

A DV turned up yesterday at Loton Park Hill climb event; left hand drive, silver wheels with some testing tech taped to it.

Well it was bright sunlight, cloudless sky, I thought it was black from afar and not until I was about 30cm away could I make out the green.

Way too dark for my taste and didn't really show off the car at all😢

I'll stick with my pearl white Alpine.

Ha, yeah, I have lost count many times I have told people it is DARK DARK.

I think if one accepts it is black with hints of green then one will be delighted.

There was a seemingly black Macca at Beaulieu yesterday, which on close inspection, was a dark, dark purple.

Actually, pretty classy. Just makes it a nicer black.

If it has an engine, I am there to thrash it.

I have to say that I love modern dark paints with colour sparkles. They look seriously expensive in sunlight, I admit that of a normal year (this one excluded) in the UK it's a rare day that you get to enjoy the light glinting off it but it makes it even more special when you occasionally do get the full effect.

On the other hand, I'd get a silly colour because I've always wanted a bright green or yellow car, which I have somehow never achieved.

So they can build a car identical to my spec and paste it all over social media in July and August, but can't now deliver mine (one of the first 20-30 deposits) until November, after delivering to people in October who placed deposits months after me?

Perhaps you've earned the "Lotus loyalty upgrade" to a later slot for a vehicle that doesn't end up back at Hethel a week after delivery for post-production "enhancements"...

But remember one thing: don't lose your head to a woman that'll spend your bread: Lotus Turbo Esprit (89-11); Lotus Esprit GT3 (12-14): Lotus Evora S (14-17); Lotus Esprit V8 SE "UK Last 15" (18-23) Lotus Emira FE 400 (23-..)
