What on earth has happened to people in August and September so far?

It is not as if we have all had holidays.

I  can only assume, after the initial rush, that people are now waiting for more info =- which is out in about a week.

I've just seen that 30 April 21 Pugwash & 19 May 21 Gashead1105 & 4 June 21 DJW early deposits have had their phonecalls to configure the emira. Has anybody else? I'd be interested to know how quickly they are getting through the orders. I would assume the majority of you lucky early birds would be on this forum so the list above might not be missing too many names?

I had my phone call this afternoon.

I placed an order with Oakmere on 5th June and then through the Lotus website on 7th July

And that is you confirming the spec as chosen on the configurator and then they note that down and get £3k from you?

I guess I will be called tomorrow.

I'm 27 April and they haven't called me yet.  But they know what I want ... or I'm some kind of "special case"

So do we know how far down the list of dates they have reached with phone calls.  Didn’t think there would be a huge number that had ordered before the reveal but with two days now gone I’m thinking there were a lot more than I guessed

I ordered at 9am on the day of the Hethel reveal - I received my phone call today, although I wasn't able to take it so I guess I'm now at the bottom of the list

So I ordered 8am the day after you after finding out my order the previous night hadn’t registered which might mean a phone call imminently and some hard decisions to make over what I want to do given expected delivery times. Will have same problem as others though that I usually can’t answer my phone with the nature of my work.

My order & deposit at dealer was 11th March and no call yet.

I have been told that the calls are being handled outside of Lotus and not to worry that they haven't called yet.

I asked about my position in the queue and was told I'm in the first hundred, but not sure I believe that! Unless they're still running the dealer and online deposit lists separately, a lot of people have dropped out or a lot have said they want the i4, top 100 seems optimistic.

Can you imagine if, due to massive over subscription, that Lotus decided to deliver cars on the drawing of lots!!??   It would be bedlam on here.

Could be right if most of the deposit holders were thinking they are getting the Emira for under 60k and do not want to wait 12 + months for base spec cars. Maybe a lot of deposits have been pulled and are now waiting for test drives early next year before placing an order.

Fingers crossed my phone call comes today, placed my deposit around 11am the morning following the launch. That said, it sounds like some early depositors haven't received yet. I wonder if they've partitioned the list up and someone with later deposits is moving a bit quicker than someone with early deposits? In any case I wouldn't be worried, they're not exactly going to start building customer cars tomorrow, if they're really going to fulfil cars in the order deposits were placed they kind of need the full list of committed buyers locked in before starting. That said, the anticipation still gets me on edge 🤣
