Number plate worth way more than £10k. That car was bought for the plate, more valuable than the car. I expect to see the car up for sale soon minus the plate.

Thought I'd post up this to show how much prices have increased.

If it really is car number 11 (which it appears it is as there is a photo of the plaque) then this was Renu's old 350 which I believe then went to Mike Ring.

Few errors in the listing:

• Front engined????
• Previous owners - 1.  I know it has at least 2 previous owners.

The rear wing was not from the X180R !?!...  They also missed to mention the ECU high torque calibration which was also special for the S350 at the time.

Well after 18.5 years of ownership, I've decided to let a well known used car retailer sell my car. So you should see it advertised in the next couple of weeks. I haven't been using much in the last 5 years and stopped going to shows and events. It's a low mileage 39K with FSH and many thousands spent on it including engine rebuild by Lotus and cam belts replaced every 4 years. It's a very desirable late model GT with a 2002 conversion including genuine Lotus rear panel, lights, valance and Lotus centre exit sports exhaust. It also has the rare OZ Nova alloys which are in excellent condition. Also if the price is right, the private matching plate (V8GTK) will be going with the car too.

Once it's sold, I am not sure which direction I'll be going in. I wanted to try other makes of sports cars but also love Lotus too. I may reign it in a bit and I don't plan to buy a car that costs more than I sell this one for. I'll most likely buy something more modern and cheaper.

When you read that auction listing it had a 100k plus rebuild THEN gobbled up £32k in other service work in the following 5k miles. I know I'm a totally different target market to that car but how unearth does that stack up.
