Well that's a surprise, I'm in ICU

Recommended Posts

I collapsed on Sunday, next thing I know it is Tuesday and I have a lot of pipes running into me.

My wife was away and my dsughter called 999. In a way glad it happened when it did as I was meant to be flying to Zambia on Tuesday..

Am in Lister if anyone fancies a visit.

Shocked to hear this!

Hope they find a cause and get you on your way again soon.

Take care,

Filip

I have made many mistakes in my life. Buying a multiple Lotus is not one of them.

Wish you a speedy recovery, and as you say probably better here in the UK rather than abroad.

Diabetic something or other. Too high sugars not too low I think. I was out of it completely. One thing I remember was a temp of 34.

Now have too fat fingers, keep hitting the wrong keys.

Diabetic coma?  Sugars too high.  Did you know you were diabetic?

All the best @ChrisJ. Hope you get better soon. Good on your daughter for getting you help as soon as possible.

That is a shock @ChrisJ but glad to hear your daughter was around and managed to get you to the hospital.

Hopefully you will better and can be treated with meds.

Get well soon.

Yes knew I am diabetic. Just started a new set of pills to drop weight. Seemed to be working, maybe too well.

I thought diabetic coma was sugars too low.

It can work either way, but hyper is more dangerous.  That must have gone off-piste incredibly fast, mate!

Wishing you a full and speedy recovery.

I was going to send you a packet of fruit gums as real fruit would get squished from Scotland, but realised that might not be a great idea, so I ate them for you...,

My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

Wishing you all the best mate.

I was really keen to get out of Lister last time I was admitted (hope it's a lot better now), but on follow-up to have stitches out I nearly passed out. At least that got me seen a lot sooner.

Never having been in hospital before, I have no reference point.

Although I think the nightmare patient may well have just arrived. He is "documenting" stuff, very loudly.

I will say the food is surprisingly good. Very wide choice, and tasty.
