Hobbs and Shaw, rediculously entertaining and hilariously funny. Brilliant brain out stuff! 9/10

Agree with the above sentiments regarding Le Mans 66 which I watched a couple of evenings ago. Edge of your seat stuff and apart from the same shot of the gearchange and throttle being used 1,000 times and not the most accurate overtaking sequences, the whole film was excellent.

^^^ Ooh that looks good! As a fan of Tony Scott I hope they do it justice, and not too much social justice warrioring.

I was a bit hesitant about Le Mans 66, as any detail-obsessed car nerd would be, but with only a few tiny flaws I would recommend it to anyone.

Catching up on a few other recentish films I can recommend a pair of Mel Gibson items which slipped under the radar;

1. Blood Father;

I love nothing better than a good revenge flick, where an old school star like goes all psycho-dad on some unfortunate others who have slighted someone they care about. Apart from the person playing his daughter, who is incredibly annoying, this is an entertaining bit of fluff that will have you rooting for MG.

2. The Professor and the Madman:

The unlikely but true tale of the man largely responsible for the Oxford English Dictionary and the help he receives from a schizophrenic American doctor incarcerated for murder. Doesn't sound like a subject of interest, but there is some good acting especially from Sean Penn and a quality supporting cast. Mel gibson is also rocking the same "Moses" beard he has in Blood Father, and digs his dodgy Scottish accent out of the wardrobe one more time, last seen on Braveheart probably!

I tried to watch the Apollo 11 documentary on Amazon the other day, but I was warned its sitting under the Christmas tree, so will report on that later!

Watched Jumanji 2 last night. Bloody brilliant and seeing as how the actors start the movie with different people playing their "Avatars" (Like Danny Devoto) they play the parts totally differently with hilarious consequences.

Really a must if you liked the first one, I can't recommend it enough. Brilliant 9.5/10

Stumbled upon Framing John DeLorean on Hulu. An interesting "docu-film" with historical footage mixed with re-enactments with Alec Baldwin. The man was at the same time a combination of genius and freak show. Not very kind to Lotus, probably rightly so even though they took the prototype and made a buildable car out of it. Some interesting interview footage with Chapman saying something prophetic like "sometimes in business you have to make unpleasant decisions."  One memorable image is that of a DeLorean mule testing at Hethel clearly sporting some Wolfraces. :D

Not a film but Sky Documentary channel has a DeLorean documentary which is worth a watch.

Also Superswede, about Ronnie P with lots of Chapman I am told. I will watch that tonight.

OK. Don't judge me. Watch it and give it a chance. Mainly because Drew Barrymore is the hottest thing on 2 legs but also its actually hilarious. My wife really doesn't like Adam Sandler but she loves this movie.

You may need a hanky for the medal ceremony. "Only" $20 mil budget with several veteran actors in the cast suggests they believed in the project to tell the story.

Returned to the cinema on Wednesday to watch the new Bill & Ted movie with our kids. Wish I hadn’t! 91 minutes brought but a single chuckle. The time travelling duo should have returned to the 1980s. Hopefully the CV-19 hiatus has given Hollywood time to come up with some new ideas, but I’m not holding my breath.

Stan & Ollie about Laurel and Hardy last tour, a tale of brotherly Love

Also recommend the Way with Martin Sheen, an estranged father who's son dies on a pilgrimage that he completes.

Looks a great film. Have to wait for it on Amazon (if it ever gets there).
