At the moment my nearest main dealer is ‘extremely new’ to Lotus. I’d prefer to opt for the ‘tried and tested’ option. 😊👍

From the lotus cars web site, that cost is for years  1, 3, 5 , year 2 is £460, year 4 is £950. Ian has his car serviced at the well known specialist.

They have sold a few Evora's and others, so they will start getting used to them, but service/repair experience takes some time to acquire. If I had an older lotus I would be very unlikely to take it to them.

I was only jesting, I’d rather use my local indie than my local dealer for servicing, but I actually have to pretty much drive past both of them to get to the dealer that supplied and serviced my Evora from new. 
 

Would still expect a price differential though.

Louvres back from paintshop today- he said the prep was was fab (for a first timer 😉  ) and now they are "Back in Black" just like orginal. I think it looks fab !! Before and after shots. Onwards and upwards !!

Collected the Esprit today. Passed the MOT. No advisories. Up to 118k miles now.

Steering UJ replaced so steers (almost) like the Elise.

 

Been out on the Carol Float with Round Table tonight. The public were out on the streets to welcome us and we collected over £700.

All the above make me happy.

A nice bottle of 1999 Port with a delicious rib eye on the bone steak that I cooked with crushed roasted potatoes, vintage carrots and crushed peas with chilli oil fried broccoli with almond flakes.  I followed that with a nice homemade crumble crust, topped with my own homegrown poached apple and plums with a custard infused with mint (yes mint!) roasted leaf.

Sadly, I have to admit to drinking "some" wine whilst I cooked that. Well, hell, I took one for the team!

I've just had a krisproll, richely covered in chocolate spread, slip out of my hands (the risks of reading TLF while making/eating breakfast...). But it landed chocolate up! And on the table, without even trying to make it to the floor.

So I have beaten the universe!

Just not sure if I should consider is the beginning of a streak, or rather it means I've used up all my good luck for the foreseeable future and every nut or bolt I touch today will break, strip its thread and/or round its head...
