They’re back flying them in America. One appeared at the Southend Airshow back in the late 1990s. I think it made just one pass and cleared off. Big anti-climax.

That's exactly where he got them from. £10-12k, not bad for a fighter I didn't think!

Cost a lot more if they have an engine as well, the bare airframes are quite reasonable IMHO!!.

There is a car dealer in Cornwall that are well known for their lightning on a stand....

The Wasp has it's engine and he had it running last week. I can't imagine the cost of a Pegasus or Ardour though, they won't be cheap!

There used to be a Jaguar like that one located next to the Westbound carriageway of the M6 between Rugby and Coventry. There was an Alvis Stalwart amphibious vehicle parked next to it. They were used to advertise a paint ball place I think. However, the last time I drove past, both had gone.

yes, they also have Castle Air, providing (provided) the helicopters for Treasure Hunt TV program and others.

Yep, they still have a busy helicopter company. Partly in charters but mainly in sales and maintenance. Not so much filming these days.

Went to Fairford airshow yesterday. Brilliant day out courtesy of a local coach company. Here’s a few photos.

 

Tom Cruise was apparently there, but I don’t think he was at the controls of this Swiss F/A 18.

This was also a pretty cool fly past. Red Arrows followed by Black Eagles (Korea) photo quality not so good, can only do so much with the I Phone 🙄
