I am now on a quest, inspired by you and Eddie Berin to photograph my Esprit alongside other vehicles, old and new, and in the most mundane places on domestic duties. I think I'll start by taking garden waste to the community tip, and take a photo of it along side a dumper truck.

 Barrie, did you have the white lettering pen out pre blast ? the Goodyear lettering looks very white, presuming it's not the stick on lettering ? Anyway it looks very nice. Steve T

Yes, tyre paint recently applied along with some very expensive wax!!

Were you tempted for at least a split second to line up the Goodyear lettering at the top on the front wheel - like on the press shots?

Hi @Lotusfab, were you at Denbies in Dorking the other day? My wife and daughter were walking the dog and told me about a red/gold Lotus they had seen. It had Lotus written in big white letters across the back otherwise they wouldn't have known what it was apparently. That omission is quite disappointing since I've owned Esprits of one shape or another ever since I met my wife! 🤦‍♂️🤣

I presume this was taken at the factory?? My son in law sent me this, but he couldn't give me any details.

It was taken from the Lotus World magazine of the time taken in 1984 from memory. And yes it’s taken at Hethel......transporters are just leaving the factory👍
