I wonder if the LHD Evora GTEs are eligible for import to the US without an exemption (I would guess #9 needed it because of the body being entirely carbon fibre). Anyone have a VIN of one of them to look up?

North and South Dakota allow you to start driving at 14, and a full license by 16!

Not sure if I'd trust a 14 year old to drive an Evora GTE though..

Last week I moved it to a friend's place, we'll probably going to work on it a bit before importing it in the Cayman Islands.

Hi all, time to update the registry as last week my partner Gina and I became the very proud owners of No8.  Thanks to Brian for allowing us to become the custodian of this fabulous car, and thanks for the great hospitality he and his wife showed us, a true gent.  I know it wasnt easy for him to let it go but we will always be thankful he did.  We are based in Kidderminster near Worcester if there are any other midlands based GTE owners in the midlands we'd love to meet you.  

Few events planned with the car over the summer first of which will be Classic Nostalgia at Shelsley Walsh next weekend, then Silverstone Classic where the car will be on the Lotus Drivers Club stand, then Supercar Fest at Shelsley and of August, then finally Salon Prieve in September.  At most events it will share space with our beloved Esprit GT3.

It was a pleasure meeting you and Gina and although it was a sad day for me I take comfort from the fact that the car has gone to a true Lotus enthusiast. I look forward to following your exploits with the car and hopefully meet up at an event in the future. Enjoy.

Does anyone know what happened to #13? The RHD military grey IPS? JeffK on here had it and it was spotted in London commuter traffic soon after he bought it new. I’m too stupid to work out how to tag him in. Just curious why we never hear about it.

Diddyman indeed, that's Her Maj the Queen.  Car was on display as part of the Jubilee celebrations, 70 British cars from each year of the Queens reign.
