Evora market watch, for discussion and to help those searching!

My first Exige V6 had red leather - kept looking at the advert for weeks and thought the red was far too bright.

When i eventually ended up going to look at it I realised it was actually a very dark red - bought the car on the spot 😄

'....it makes every other roadster look just a little bit cissy...'

The Red interior of my SR is one of my favourite things about it. The colour name is the most inappropriate, “Venom Red” and it needs careful photography to get a realistic representation.

I think not! Its missing a few of the key features;

Union jack on A-panel

Black lettering on the rear

Black mirror, side skirts, front splitter and possibly roof (hard to tell in pics!)

…or a well speced S?

👆 This (as Tim says).

Empire Green wasn’t an SR colour. And there is no Black Pack or Union Flags on the side.

Not even MY12, let alone MY15. The dashboard surround is silver (pre 2012), not anthracite. The year must make reference to registration.

It actually is a MY15+ in a very rare spec. It's an S with Sports Premium interior, the silver dash finishers were an N/A standard part (option on S) the difference compared to he original silver finish is the surround around the Head unit and coin slot which is metallic grey (see close up in the pics) rather than original being satin black.

The reason people aren't aware this option exists is because not many non Sport Racer/MY12 N/A Evoras were made.

It is also, to my eyes, actually, an absolute stunning spec and gorgeous colour combo that must be one of one!

If I had the cash, I would.

The small print.

My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

Oh no, another Evora on collecting cars. This generally doesn't turn out well for the seller. I think this will struggle to hit low £20's as no MOT and not been serviced in 2 years. Why would you not get it road ready before you sold.

Because some people are just plain lazy and can't be arsed ! And there's a helluva lot of those people in Britain 🤔

Either that or the seller knows there is £££ on the way come MOT time.

The listing states an MOT will be added at the point of sale. It appears to be sold by a dealer.

Stunning Paul. You know it makes sense.

The heart shouts a resounding YES at 110dcb.

Then a big hand appears (not the wife’s) & slaps me hard around the face a few times.

Knowing that the useless boffins that sit on the DVLA Medical Panel, who refuse to be re-educated, are likely to strip me of my license for 12 months at any point in the next 2 years it really wouldn’t represent a good buy.

If only the DVLA would wake up and realise that the drugs available for this type of cancer have evolved massively over the past 8 years, then they just might be able to make an informed decision. Whilst ever they continue to rely on medical reports from 2008 they go from year to year with their heads buried firmly in the sand.

I am, with others, still working on them but honestly you just can’t imagine the mentality and vacant looks that we get from individuals who sit on the DVLA Medical Panel. Their motto just seems to be “why even think about changing when you can just leave things as they are”

Sorry, off topic rant over, 🙄🙄

It's done 5000 miles in two years, one of which without an MOT...

There are now quite a few cars which have not sold privately being offered by dealers - latest being advertised by Geoff Cox doesn't yet have pics or even the colour mentioned! Is it me or is this lazy advertising?  I think this is the yellow NA previously advertised privately up near Aberdeen.

Definitely a mixed time for selling sports cars.

It is also not a Sports Racer. 'Just' an S with Tech pack. I suspect that it might not even be an MY12 (ref gear knob).

The gear knob is MY12, the shiny Ali version was a SR detail.

Looks like they have added photos now! ( and you were right on colour)
