Evora Brake Discs and Pads

Recommended Posts

The cheapest pads I found when look were from Ebay:-

Fronts

Rears

Don't forget you will probably need new caliper pins too as they seize solid and require cutting to remove. Also buy some anti squeal compound from Euro car parts etc rather than using copper slip. It keeps the brakes quiet and moving nice.

Has much changed since the good advise on this thread? I have 20% left on my pads and I am normally not much of a complainer on paying for new pads and discs (I was told the discs need doing also). The price quoted was too much in my view, when the car stops superbly and I have 20% left.

So I am researching options for when the inevitable time arrives.

Ideally OEM or similar, so I am not looking for 'racy' options. Elise Shop ones read well.

Should have done but I was quoted what I considered a very high price to change discs and pads: over £1,500.  The AP Racing pads were quoted at £168 plus VAT per axle, so roughly 38% more than the Elise Parts link above. If they have reduced prices, they must have been mega-expensive prior to that.

I bet my discs and pads are fine for the next MOT in Sept 2021. We will see.

There is a shop in Germany (brake specialist) that offers a big amount of different brake pads and discs for the Evora + Evora S (unfortunately not for any 400 series yet).

https://www.at-rs.de/english.html

The have stock, sportive, performance and motorsport pads/discs. I have always ordered my brake parts from there, for any car. The shop language is in German only I guess, but you can write an email to them. They have a great service.

The pictures I've attached are for the front axle of an Evora with the 350 mm discs.

Easier to tag onto this than start a new thread.....

Anyone have a source for OEM (or decent quality non-OEM) front discs (cross drilled) and DS2500 pads for a series 1 EvoraS? Lots of places showing out-of-stock at the moment on the discs (although some have vented non-crossdrilled)....

Thanks in advance!

I just had my front and rears all replaced at central and it was in stock according to Adam , in past I ordered from Elise parts but now with import duties it proving a more costly method ?

@Cdm2018 Yeah I'm going to give Craig Moncrieff a call in the coming week. I have the space/tools/knowledge to do this kinda thing myself though, so it always seems a bit of a shame not to DIY.....

Just had discs & pads replaced by Craig, as he was able to source parts I couldn’t.

Be aware folks that cross-drilled front Discs are like hens teeth at the moment. Leave yourself adequate time if you will need some soon, and be ready for the possibility you may need to either revert to vented but non cross-drilled discs, or to upgrade to alloy bells & floating discs. 🫤

Try this place for discs.  Proper Motorsport supplier and they even have the correct rotors for the 400…….available in J hook too!    Way cheaper than buying from Lotus or other suppliers I believe.

The screenshot is for the 400 size (fronts).
