Yep, Chinese virus, if it didn’t leak out the lab, it came from the market (Wuhan) where they have live, dead and dying mixed species being stored together until they are too rotten to sell..... but call it Covid 19 if it helps you sleep at night!

Sadly this is an utter failure of the uk justice system. The cps frankly should have known better. They would have had to prove beyond reasonable doubt they intended to murder that PC. There’s no question the outcome - but even these scum individuals probably never intended the outcome.

We have an issue with our justice system - these rats should have gone to prison for at least a 20 stretch. Remember many of the great train robbers served decades - yet no one died. The list of examples goes on and on.

Put simply there’s an appalling failure to protect public servants whom uphold law and provide front line services.

And if we cant call it the China virus - then we need a new name for the BBC.

Covid-19 was detected in Barcelona wastewater from a sample taken in March 2019. Spanish Flu was first detected in a USA military base in Kansas. I can use Google. I suspect Trump is calling it by a different name to try and shift the focus of peoples blame away from himself.

BBC are doing there best to batter the government for doing it too quickly having spent the last months bashing them for acting far too slowly at the start. Even watched them try to bait a holiday maker into blaming the government but failed miserably as she took a very pragmatic approach to the whole thing - bet they don't repeat that interview 🙄.

I do think the 14 day quarantine imposed on travellers returning from Spain has been handled in a very shambolic manner. Surely it's not beyond the wit of someone to analyse the data , look for an upward trend and if there's a projection that the rate of infection is going to be larger than is acceptable to only then advise that quarantine will be imposed in X number of days.

BBC reporter on holiday in the Canaries was being interviewed says "everyone's being really good here, following the rules, no cases. Loads of Spanish from Barcelona and Catalonia here too"

So, I sat waiting for the BBC interviewer to say "oh, and are you not worried by that given the extensive new outbreak, in, er, you know, Barcelona and Catalonia?"

But of course. It wasn't picked up as (1) the BBC Interviewer is too thick to think on their feet and (2) it would have meant them using their brain to go off script...

I have zero sympathy for these holiday makers. They knew they were taking a chance. The chance did not pay off. So just get on with it and suck it up. It's life.

 

On another note, I was going to have a Chinese meal for tea last night. But I didn't want to upset anyone so instead please note what I had was a "non denominational nationality free meal from a restaurant takeaway from  somewhere but not nowhere".
