Thanks @roby that does look stunning.

Interesting that the hubs & brakes are completely different in both images. The yellow/orange (hard to tell on my display) has 'proper' Lotus wheel nuts and calipers.

Yeah, I think that might even be it.

It has all the design clues we would expect.

Haunched back with the rear arch significantly wider than the doors.

The front light set and curved front of the bonnet.

Large glass/black canopy.

Side scoop a 'bit' similar to the Evija.

I think that will be damn close BUT I am not worried about that, I am 100% sure the side and front will look damn good. I am worried about the back!

Nah.  Just another photoshop effort - those are Exige V6 wheels for instance...

Ha. Everyone is wondering what it will look like. It is a marvellous game whilst we wait in pain. 😁

Lotus have teased us mercilessly. Not sure it is even the right strategy. I doubt is as nice as that silver render. That is an incredible looking car. We should be so lucky.

Also, I LOVE that Allegro!!

Oh no not that rubbish Evija photoshop again? Can we please censor it from TLF?

The Emira  IS  an Evija photoshop!

I hope it gets near that in looks and nothing like the current crop. 😝

If it has an engine, I am there to thrash it.

just put a deposit down with B&C.  Delivery April 22 ish.

I'm curious to know how B&C can commit to any delivery schedule when the factory are not taking orders yet. Or is this some kind of special B&C thing?

Pretty sure this is JUST to get you to the front of the queue when we are presented to Hethel.

At which point I am expecting to start my configuration for both cars and put down a further deposit or some kind of formal agreement.

I am not expecting this to happen until later in the year and certainly not any time just after Goodwood.

I have accepted that I have the car delivered until summer 2022 at best.

Those with deposits will be the first cars offered to the franchise from Lotus to order.  In theory, their whole Emira allocation for the year could be consumed with customer deposited cars.

If the car is not from the UK or Italy; it's not worth talking about.

I've no idea if B&C currently have the status among dealers that applied back in the days of the Evora launch, but I know that they received the first Evora to reach a dealer. I happened to be there late one evening and saw and photographed it being rollout out of the transporter van. (No, afraid I didn't post pics here.)  Possibly Silverstone may be a contender now but, whatever customer deposits may have been placed with dealers, I'd be very surprised if advance orders had not been placed by dealers themselves and my money is on B&C again to be the first recipient. (Regrettably not a deposit, no.......now if the £55K version was to have a proper gear change.........!)

PS:  All bets off if Geely has now funded a second transporter.

The factory order book isn't open yet so I think it's very unlikely any dealer can say much about delivery dates for individual customers.  They'll know what Lotus have as a target for first customer delivery dates and planned numbers per month.

After the rather unfair process for converting dealer deposits into factory deposits on the first Evoras, I hope they come up with a better way of handling it for Emira.  For Evora the factory book opened on a pre-advised date and all the dealers logged in that morning to add their orders (customer, demo, stock).  It was mostly down to how quickly each dealer added orders that determined where their customers were in the factory's queue.  A fairer system would be for the factory to ask dealers for a list of dealer deposit holders and dates deposits paid, then allocate slots in date order.  But I doubt that'll happen.

I know Emira #1 is allocated to a Silverstone customer as both dealer and factory agreed that a while ago when the customer put the first Type 131 deposit down.

Absolutely. We are a long way from that.  Allowing for some delays and covid impact this might take a whole darn year 🙈

I want a targa top.

I’d like to see that too, or a nice large sun roof which rolls right back over the engine bay.

How do you know the factory and Silverstone agreed they would be No.1?

I'll get around to it at some point.

The deposit holder told me and the dealer confirmed it.  I haven't checked with the factory direct but have no reason to doubt either of them.

Maybe Silverstone are getting the first Emira V6 and the first 4 cylinder elsewhere.

(or vice versa) ?
