- nice build quality (better than my Evora)

- awesome look

- I didn't drive the car but, statically, the sound is not comparable to Exige/Evora V6 (even with the most extreme mode)

- not a big fan of the steering wheel

- too expensive in France due to the CO2 tax

Does this mean that you have cars that are not actually allocated to a customer, or are they all just awaiting on your PDI getting done and car collected/delivered.

Both. Cars are PDi’d just waiting plates, showroom cars here. The red one is new demo, old demo up for sale. Not being flipped as some clown on another forum said. Each dealer could buy their demo to sell, er it’s what we do🙄!

Is Lotus V2.0 and it's relationship with the dealer network starting to soften up? Are they being pragmatic about the direct relationship with customers and all the difficulties that entails?

Loads of cars sitting around at the factory when I did the tour on Tuesday, awaiting distribution (in the rain 😞) - there seemed to be hundreds, parked all over the place! Several weeks worth of production based on the rate we were told about during the tour...

Yep lots waiting to be delivered to various countries, including here. BCA are not the quickest when it comes to getting them out. Think they have deals with every manufacturer and Lotus are way down the pecking order, for example, Stellantis brands had 25000 vehicles to move compared to a few hundred!

The decision to use BCA at any point in the process has always been madness in my opinion.

@JB I mucked around on the configurator and settled on Magma Red, no black pack, tan interior and yellow callipers. Much like in your photo.

However, the third photo of the Emira in silver.

Shows what light does to different colours, first pic is DV, second is Shadow Grey, 3rd DV 4th Shad again!!!

Have to say the shadow grey looked great in the flesh

Before the funny comments re the car on stands, I was  getting diamond cut gloss black wheels for a customer. Look great as the standard diamond cuts are a satin finish with a kind of grey wheel, these will really pop.

They do look great, very elegant on the cat as does the Nimbus Grey. Not a colour I'd usually pick on a car but that does add some lovely complexity to the curves.

Several phots that I have seen now of Magma Red Emiras and they all look like the paint is a matt paint. The original pictures and the configurator , it definitely looked glossy.

In owners photos? Matt. Odd.

I doubt it looks like that in person. I quite like the effect.

Haha Jon you know my view on gloss black wheels! 
Each to their own - I hope your new owner is pleased with them; but diamond cut with gloss black background is my worst nightmare. To me that car looks like a Matchbox toy 🫢
 

I switched from diamond cut to silver wheels on my Emira at the last minute before locking config and every time I see a picture of the silver wheels I’m more and more relieved!!
