I fully expect that Jenson, Harry, Flintoff and the very annoying and cheesey "Schmeediot" will be much higher up the Emira queue than anyone on here, for obvious reasons

I also have a conspiracy theory that someone at Hethel reads all these post slating them about late deliveries and poor communications etc and just pings that poster a slot further down the list. The worst offenders will get their car on Jan 04 2023, the day the Beast from the East part 2 arrives 🤬

Really Guys?  I know of friends who are waiting 6-12 months longer than originally informed for a new car of fairly routine type and spec from other brands due to COVID/Ukraine etc.  Theirs are not new cars that need to be developed and refined.  I suspect with all the press reviews and PP DV iterations, Lotus is trying to improve the ride and handling and interior right up until the last minute.  All power to Lotus I say.  All Emira owners will be crowing from the treetops if/when the Emira beats a Cayman in a group test and crying 'foul' if the Cayman beats Emira.  I know waiting sucks but you have already had some practice so you should be getting better at it.  🤣  Peace and goodwill to all - Christmas is just around the corner!

Happened to be reading the original Autocar RT of the Esprit (15 Jan 77) and it has comments about Lotus that are as valid now as they were then, which perhaps put some perspective around any delays facing Emira customers:

“The Esprit is a giant stride towards the Porsche/Ferrari/Maserati market and it oh-so-nearly makes it as a worthy competitor to such marques. That it does not do is really a question of development… The Elite improved greatly in the first year of production and we must hope that this will be repeated with the Esprit, which could become a very desirable cut-price rival in this very special market.”

Looks like the range of model Emira's has been extended to more colours. Wonder how close they will be to the real thing. Looks like all 6 launch colours will be available. On Lotus Silverstone Facebook shop, assume all dealers will get them??

Can't see why the colours shouldn't be the real deal, assuming they use the correct RAL codes.

Probably the only chance of getting your hands on an Emira before winter sets in 🤔

Perhaps these are the cars the dealers will get shortly, a bit difficult for test drives though, but could be good if the colours are accurate.

45 years later, and those are still beautiful cars.  I remember seeing one at the Auto Expo in Los Angeles when it came out, and it was so much better looking than just about anything else at the show.

Taking of customer experience with dealers, I remember him waxing lyrical about his Ferrari experience. He was over the moon that, having spent what I assume was well into six figures for a second hand car, that the dealership gave him a cap and umbrella. A few months afterwards it transpired that he sold the car after the dealer failed to resolve a persistent problem.

I did find that rather funny.
