How many of you have pulled the plug?

How many of you have pulled the plug on the Emira due to incessant delays, excuses, poor communications and lack of information from Geely Lotus?

Just curious as, had I been in line for one, I would have bailed out over a month a go 😕

If it is, someone's forgot to put the 50p's in the meters at the factory.

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

I am definitely 50/50 right now!

I have mixed thoughts right now and the more I think about car values and consider the recent+planned distribution to China, the more I think puker.  I can’t see any Emira (inc. the 1st edition) now commanding a premium over list unfortunately?!

I agree with you @Al and usually "puke" around car speculators lol.

like you I am also waiting for the i4, but hopefully a "sport" GT4/GT3 carbon lightened piece of Lotusness....

Re delays, not emotional, not even bothered. If it was for my immediate transportation needs and I’d already sold my only other vehicle, I could get it. I will only consider pulling out if there is a substantial price increase or early negative feedback re build quality. In the meantime, just getting some interest on funds. After all, it’s Just a Toy🚘 FFS
Last time I got emotional about a toy was when my grandma went ass over tip on my Scalextric set. I was 10 she was as my age now, It was not a pretty sight. Obviously thIs old scar has made me immune. 🤭

This!!! It is mostly a toy for many

I don't understand so many who say they will pull deposit, not like you can wander into another sports car retailer and buy a brand new car in your chosen spec and drive it away that afternoon!!

So?  Wrong reason to be buying IMHO and this is supposed to be a Lotus Enthusiast forum not a finance forum.

I’m still waiting for the new colours and base spec i4 to come along although a large price increase might dull my enthusiasm!

Couple of different blues, white, black, a more red red, more of a silver all coming......

I have been quite cold for a long time now. It’s only the high  price of used alternatives that has meant I have kept my deposit in place.

Had the email today so expecting a call anytime - I am guessing Jan delivery which I will ask to defer to March. If this gets pushed later into summer then I will keep looking for alternatives anyway.

tempted by an evora 410 as they have started to  drop below 60k.

I suspect by the time you get a base i4 in 2024 it will cost the same as a FE now. They may open the book for base orders in early 2023 but delivery will be way into the future. I was a December 2021 order, with an initial expectation of a Spring 2023 delivery, but I don't see that being before early 2024 now. They have around 12,000 orders globally (Matt Windle said 6 x annual production of previous models), at least 10k of which are before me!

Can't see why not? There will always be people with money who want to jump the queue, and very few second hand cars available. For sure there will be some fishing at £100k plus after Christmas.
