I posted in the unhappy thread a day or two ago about how our cat of the last 7 years had disappeared without trace on Wednesday morning & my mum had passed away (fully expected so no shock, but still very sad) on Thursday afternoon, so Christmas wasn’t looking to clever for us.

 Well I’m glad to report that after putting in some real leg work by knocking on doors, posting flyers & talking to people we learnt that the area our cat covers is even larger than than the large area we previously knew of. A country cat you see, he was found stuck up inside the roof of a modern stable block. It’s a good half a mile from here.

Wonderful news! One of our cats disappeared in the snow one night early December 10 or 11 years ago. She was only 7 months old and never went far beyond our garden. We looked everywhere and put up loads of posters, but nothing. We pretty much gave up hope. After Christmas we went to a local pantomime. When we came out, my wife switched her phone on and someone had left a voicemail, informing us that they were certain they had seen her in injured in a garden about a mile from our house. We went straight to the house, but the cat was gone. The good news was that someone had taken her to a local animal rescue centre. We called them and they confirmed via her chip that she was indeed our cat Rainbow. We raced up to collect her. She had been missing for nearly 4 weeks. The lady carried her out and, though emaciated and with a nasty dog bite wound on her back, we immediately recognised her great big eyes. We got her looked over by the vet and nursed her back to full health. She stayed with us for another 10 years and sadly died this summer. She really was our Christmas miracle, so we are missing her greatly this year. Her twin sister is still with us though and will thoroughly enjoy tucking into her turkey tomorrow.

beeen feeling proper shite with man flue symptoms for 6 weeks and finally got to see my dr yesterday (a joy in itself) and so he couldnt find any thing much wrong and prescribed  me a nasal spray ??? im thinking WTF but what do i know, gets home and gives meself a puff, not sure it worked so did it again then again before realising it had no taste nor smell and it was indeed "puffing" almost instantly felt better and best nights sleep in ages !!! so what with the happy pills and the nasal spray all i need now is some viagra and a KFC and my life will be complete !!! Happy New Year to one and all and may it bring you health and happiness !!! 🥰
