Elite/Eclat/Excel video & picture thread!

Thanks to everyone for their kind words. They do encourage me to hang on in there. He's running rich on idle and can foul his plugs in standing traffic, which can get a bit scary. Need to sort that. Also, one of the electric window switches has developed an internal short. Anyone know of someone who can internally refurb the switch? TIA

Inspired by GrandThriftAuto’s latest video, I thought that I would try and take some aerial photos of my Elite. Despite the slight problem of not having a drone, I was quite pleased with this effort which was taken using my phone whilst hanging out of a bedroom window 😀

Still a superb looking car, if the emira was a slightly updated version of an elite, then I would be more likely to buy one. A new elite with the emira/evora underpinnings would be amazing.

I have just read through all of this topic since page 6. In 58 years of being alive, I am fairly sure that I have only ever seen one Elite in Australia. I thought about seeing if I could find one after the S4 finally leaves, but I was warned off the car due to the inboard brakes and the load bearing drive shafts.

But then after more thought, once my S4 is gone, that's it. No more for me.

You guys on here have some lovely looking older cars. Envious.

My Excel has seen some more use this summer. Still needs some tidying up, but good fun to drive. And in good company, I couldn't resist a pic of the line-up with all the different colors.

 I pulled these vintage hydroplanes out of an industrial storage unit last week. I cleaned them up and set them up for pictures yesterday so that I can list them online. I took a little wider frame on this shot and got the Excel into it. As I was editing the photos, it struck me funny that boats are wood and the car is fiberglass.
