They all had big wings. I know I sold them for a living! You know you can chip them up....a lot!

The mk1 ZS v6 4 door had a bigger 'shelf' than mine, but the mk2 cars often had a small appendage that one could hardly call a wing. Mine is still on its original belts had it since 2004....must get them done some time. So what can you chip the zs 180 up to?

The door handles look rather familiar. Must be tricky to open the boot?

Probably not quite as fast as the average lotus evora though.

It's obviously been custom built for this camping trip. Makes an excellent mobile dinner table. That's British engineering at it's best!

The wing stops them bursting into flame when rear ended. Great design feature that!

Much prefer the Yobbo wings. Am a wing guy! Makes it look like it sounds. Anti Social!

If I had the big wing I think the bogans around here would vandalise my car!

It stands out enough as it is. Aussies generally dont like ostentatiousness. Even though we had a guy named Austentatious back in the 80's!

From the position and angle of the wing on that "John Player Special" (cough) I'd say it makes a good picnic table for camping but serves no other purpose.  In the late '70's a friend had a 911 Turbo (Model 930) and the huge wing on that made a great picnic table at race meetings. (Stuck out further than the rear bumper so if he reversed clumsily the wing hit first - great design!)

I lost my enthusiasm for wings when I read Adrian Newey's book "How to build a car" - early on he had a downforce-to-drag ratio of about 2:1 but improved that to over 3:1 later ... so whatever downforce your big wing is producing you can expect drag to increase by 1/3 of that if you are lucky, or 1/2 if the design is not refined. Controlling air under the car produces better gains but doesn't get the "look at the big wing" response from the schoolboys.... and you'd have nowhere to put your can of beer ..😉

Thanks for photos ..  roads in Suffolk are a bit mucky and it was raining. It was clean when I set off, 7 miles later it was like that ....

and that's the Launch Edition Evora that Allan put on Page 1 of this thread, still going strong.

Yes it’s had at least 3 registrations. This is what it was on when I bought it. It also had the blue tip sports exhaust by then.

Yes, I've got a file of Invoices for Servicing and other stuff - lots of tyre invoices!  and had noted registration changes -  0007 ALN initially, then SN59 FYK, finally E9ORA. Must admit it was the plate, Aquamarine and Oyster that attracted me - looked 'Class' not 'Flash' to me. I'm long past the 'boy-racer' stage and wings and black packs do nothing for me and the 'aggressive' holes in the front of latest variants just look ugly to me .. but each to their own.  Do you know if that was a Sports Exhaust or just Tail Pipes?

First thing I did was take it to Hanger 111 for a geo check and they made some changes to get it back to spec' ... tyres seem to be lasting better but I swap between summer tyres on original silver wheels and winter tyres on Anthracite wheels so lose track of mileage done on each ..
