Back from Sorrento after an amazing week of chilling, eating and drinking and exploring. Back to the drudge of every day life.

Must win lottery.

Cheer up!  Having friends like us is every bit as good as winning the lottery.

So have you bought a ticket yet?

Sorrento. Spent one of my honeymoons there. The beginning of the end. Nice coffee  in the square though.

You just wouldn't believe what that coffee landed costing me. Lets equate to Evora 430 prices. Yep, a couple and a few classics thrown in.

Still liked the coffee though.

Two gigs double-booked in a row within a month. FFS, at this rate I'll be out busking the streets. WTF do those pub landlords do with their bookings? At least we got prior notice this time, had it before when we've turned up at the venue before getting told.

Margate Exotics.

The Evora has sat unused since Tuesday. Went out just now to take it for a cobweb-blowing blast and the ABS and Traction Control warning lights are staying on. Bu99er!

Maybe the car has just thrown a hissy-fit over the thought of @C8RKH getting in the passenger's seat, :sofa: .

Could well be that switch. I had it adjusted at the recent service to try and cure the hair trigger on turning off the cruise control if you so much as went over a leaf lying on the road so it's possibly taken a dislike to being fiddled with, :dizzy: .

What made me unhappy today. Lets say bloody unhappy. Knocking our pans in to get a job done quickly so that I can get home and the rig managers say. We have an experienced crew on night shift, they will fit a rope for you, it will be all ready for the morning he said. Yes, he said they are experienced,. He Said. Now anyone who knows anything about lifting equipment knows this is just not right, not safe and is basically F+++ed. Oh, and then the scaffold crew arrive to build a lifting frame to remove a pump. Well didn't they just have the same stupidity hat on and put the scaffold tube through the bloody rope so the winch can't be turned.

So who now has to spend an extra two bloody days trying to sort the frigging mess out, 130 feet in the air in 56 Deg C heat and bloody high humidity. Unhappy is a huuuuuge understatement.

Nope. I'm not in your garage.

Almost 2,000 Ft of 30mm wire rope wrecked. We quoted 9 days to change 3 ropes on each of the three cranes. These guys came in and said, far to expensive, our own guys will change all 9 in three days. Well day 1 now gone. And still 9 to do. Fill yer boots guy's as i'm leaving you to it and heading home shortly.

Sold my Range Rover 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭. Had it for 10 years and loved it, drowning sorrows in Old Speckled Hen now. Probably sold it too cheap as have had people fighting over it all afternoon.

The good thing is a nice lad has bought it (first one to look at it) who sounds like an enthusiast and will hopefully enjoy it as much as I have.

I have also learnt there are some real knobs on Facebook!

Very nice, but I’d have to give the karting a miss for a while, I still cant take right handlers quick following the first lap incident. :driving:

Blessed with the competence to be a slave to the incapable.

Currently without a Lotus, Evora 400 Hethel Edition in Racing Green with Red leather and 2010 Evora N/A in Laser Blue and 1983 Lotus Excel LC Narrow body in Ice Blue all sadly gone.
