Lovely Alfa

Yes, the Alfa was just gorgeous. I also liked the 2 Proteus C Type reps that were there, as the build quality just shone through. Perversely, I was quite taken with the '62 TBird which, although obviously restored, had been done to an extraordinarily high standard. I liked the added touch of the 'Vote Kennedy' sticker in the windscreen too! :)

Feeling the 80s Group 5 love at the moment, just think the cars looks awesome,  and have a feeling project Kermit will be getting a lot wider,  looking into getting a spare set of my Esprit S2 rims cut out and made into 3 piece rims and stepped up to 17 " to put a set of 335 17 " on, should fill the gap lol   :)

Think an extra foot each side of the Esprit should sit well,  with radiators moved to the rear arches    Have only tried it on a Fujimi model kit so far as i cant get my hands on my bodyshells lol,

I spent a good part of the weekend with another silver turbo from the 80s. 80sturbos.thumb.JPG.6b60ffc1774c7bc1fa5c5702a38c8807.JPG

No guesses what the other car is? Or is it that obvious? I had never seen one in the flesh and was surprised at the speed it held dancing through the corners on the long winding sections. A great driver I must add, me and the AMG were happy to use our power advantage to follow his pace.

I have made many mistakes in my life. Buying a multiple Lotus is not one of them.

Not so. The Miura appeared as rolling chassis only in 1965 and not fully clothed until 1966.

The Djet was introduced in 1962. The Vallelunga in 1964. The Europa in late 1966. Lotus really shouldn't be claiming the "World's First" award in this particular case.

I only skimmed that vid [watched it back when it was current] so can't be 100% sure but I didn't see the Sonnet he describes as 'buried in the woods' in it. That one must be in one of his later vids, and is literally buried in the woods.
