You should hurry, as it's not good to leave the fiberglass body hanging on those rear jacking points (or front jacking points) for too long or you'll crack the body.

Spoke to Gerald at GST beforehand and is what he recommended as that is how his 4 poster works

How a 4 poster works and how it's correct to keep an Esprit long term on stands are two completely unrelated things.  I jack mine up from those points, but I rest it on the strong points on the chassis for periods of extended work.

Mechanics really don't care about your car like you do, so I wouldn't go by how they treat the car.  The guy that was considered the God of Esprits here in the US was witnessed moving Esprits around his yard by their starter motors!  Hope you don't think that's a good idea too!  LOL

But hey, maybe you're really good with and enjoy fiberglass repair, so don't let me stop you.

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

The small print.

My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

Not the original interior colour it was beige and brown I believe and was a bit of a mess so I chose my own colour scheme and did the job myself ( upholsterer by trade) really happy with the result it looks and feels amazing.

That looks beautiful, and gives me some ideas for my interior (orange carpets, hmmm). Loving the stictching.

Sometimes we can all get a bit hung up on originality (me especially) but if green and tartan isn't for you, just do what you like.

In the garage no-one can hear you scream

Alan your car looks epic my friend. Done that Spain to France in the Elise many years back with my then future wife, we got mobbed everywhere. The local heros going up the Pyrenees in Renaults should have been driving at Le Mans
