Yeah it’s been hiding for a bit. Moved house, Covid etc etc. was nice to get it back out and about!😉👍

Just fitted SCC 15mm front spacers and 25mm h&r spacers , and correct hub centric rings to rears and fronts confirmed no rubbing ,  no vibration. on 19 HRE 845r super light weight rims looks fantastic 😍 OEM hre wheel caps just came in from hre . 

Included a picture without spacers also

Attended  a really nice car show at the weekend. Little place called Audlem (near Stoke)

I wanted a good run out before I go to The Silverstone Classic at the end of August. (It was a 160 mile  round trip) Behaved impeccably. (the car, not me!)

The whole village seemed to have turned out, waving, cheering etc as we convoyed around the village before settling on the village green. 

Of course everyone loved my flashing headlights! 

When I parked up, I nearly got as many comments on my revolving model car that the real thing!

@Jack Stone Max, yes, Chobham Common, just round the corner 😉 Often go up there to have a blast in one of the Lotus. Good place to spot the latest camoflaged McLaren en route to their test track - pretty pointless of course as they all look the same.

Colin Chapmans Esprit S2 was exhibited at the first episode of Düsseldorf´s (my hometown) "Classic Days" event. A cozy mini-Goodwood... The car will also be present at the upcoming Oldtimer Grand Prix at the Nürburgring (where also a german Lotus Meeting will be held right in front of the main tribune).

*1977 0-60 and V Max performance data via Lotus as Autocar test couldn’t match brochure claims. 

**The 2001 test quotes a slightly higher BHP than the V8 brochure figure (358 versus 350) in both the table and text but I think it’s probably a typo so I’ve quoted brochure data

(The only number higher on the S1 was fuel tank capacity - 68l versus 65l!)

Hi fellas,

Here's some pics of my esprit getting out to local car shows and the odd classic car rally. 

1st pic shows 10 years apart making it my own over some time.

I'm amazed at the crowd this car pulls everytime we go out.

I've got some running maintenance as usual, just done a headlight motor, got a new waste gate actuator to go on shortly. 

I've tried so go pro videos but need to perfect my planning for the videos. 

Hope everyone is enjoying there cars this year.
