Watched a programme last night about the replacement for Air Force One. The current one (two actually) are 30 years old. Donald cancelled the Boeing order that had been placed by Obama for 2 new 747-8. He then picked up 2 747-8 from a bankrupt Russian airline.

The programme was about turning them into Air Force One - there are always 2 so that there is a backup. Trump has approved a change of paint scheme (the familiar blue one was designed by Jackie Kennedy).

Total cost to the taxpayer for the work - 9 billion dollars 😮

Yes the current aircraft are getting old, there are two as its only the one carrying the president at the time that is Air Force one. There are also the doomsday planes. these are flying command centres in the event of Nuclear strikes.

Anyone see the documentary yesterday on Trump? Loads of things never seen over here and even Foreign leaders saying what they thought and what happened.

As Wendy and I watched it our jaws got lower and lower the floor! The words egotistical maniac come to mind with "Idiot". 

If you haven't watched it you should! Even his own advisors had the old Facepalm moments!

But his followers are too stupid to see through him and the con.  (He was not President to do good for the country or his followers,only to do good for himself)  People should have done due diligence before voting for him. Over and over again he went through bankruptcies and we the tax payers picked up the tab.

I believe if you were able to dig in even deeper, you would find they even earned more than that.

They have figured out that the political theater allows you to earn money, fund raising, with very little effort or cost. Then the way that the tax laws are laid out, you route the money from your campaign, which is heavy monitored, to a PAC that you control. Once the money reaches the PAC, reporting is lost and the money becomes freely accessible to do whatever you want with it.

They were able to raise $250M from Nov 2020 to Jan 2021. Some of it went to the National Republican Committee. Some went towards the stated purpose for the fund raising but the most went to their PAC.

During the week of 1/4/21 through 1/12/21, Trump's hotel in DC tripled their rates. The manager stated that during that time they had a considerable amount of reservations/use. Now, the same hotel has tripled their rates around 3/5/21 because of the Qanon theroy that Trump will be sworn in as President on 3/5 as the 19th President.

If you enjoyed that you would love Jon Sopel's books on Trump. 'A year at the Circus' will leave you speechless and also astonished how we managed to avoid a global catastrophe. The man is a narcissist and will end up in prison.

To be honest, it wouldn't make a difference if his lawyers hadn't turned up.  Most of the senators had decided which way they are going to vote before the trial started.

As expected the Republican senators whom have their nose deeply buried in Trumps ass voted along tribal lines. At least a few voted their conscience putting country ahead of party.
