Friday evening BBQ @ Dunston Hall

Question @Bibs I was told that the tickets for admission to the 70th at Hethel admit one only. Dealers are only getting 20 I’m also told. My question relates to the people going to Dunston as there seems to be lots of +1’s etc. How are these +1’s getting into the event on Saturday. I’d love to take a mate with me but seemingly can’t due to the strict one ticket one person bullocks - what’s your take?

The Hethel admission tickets are on a 'two persons per car' basis.

That's now changed, it's a ticket per person and a car sticker to get the car in. Tickets will be posted out from Monday next week and everyone who ordered via lotus70.com will get a sticker and 2 tickets.

Understood, but has everyone on the list for the BBQ managed to get a car entry ticket?

I’m getting in with one of the dealer entry tickets which only admits 1 apparently - seems bonkers given I’m one of very few people who actually bought a Lotus new!

Surely +1 isn’t asking too much is it?!

There are strict rules on the number of people allowed on site for insurance reasons, hence the event being ticketed and not a 'turn up on the day' affair mate.

Before the rules change, it was one ticket for the Lotus car which allowed 2 people in who had to be in the Lotus car.

Now each person needs a ticket. And the car needs a sticker also.

So I will now receive 2 tickets and a sticker.

Can I give one of my tickets to someone else who can turn up on the day at the gate on foot?

And if for some reason I cannot bring my Lotus, can I just turn up on the day at the gate with the other ticket, again on foot?

Does the same apply to club tickets? Will the 20 club tickets actually be 20 stickers for the cars and 40 tickets for driver+passenger?

@Bibs- this is a pretty key point to clear up please.  Can you confirm that those who were originally down for a Lotus car ticket will now get the Lotus car ticket and 2 tickets for people?  Otherwise, a lot of people like me who have made arrangements (i.e. I arranged to arrive with @Alfa2Evora in his car as the deal was one car ticket = 1 car plus two people in the car) as we could not have the car their are, to put it midly fooked and out of pocket by about £300!

It's not clear above.

It's fairly clear to me. If you booked a car via the website, lotus70.com. you will still get 1 x car sticker and 2 x admission tickets.

Yes but before you were going to get 1 ticket that allowed your Lotus car, the driver and 1 passenger entry to the festival.

There is no such thing as a "plus 1".....

A ticket gets a person through the gate, and an additional 'car pass' gets a Lotus through the same gate. 

Therefore, any car entering with 2 people will require a car pass and 2 tickets......

(at least, that is my understanding of it all).
