actually 2 different races, 1 think the  LLC car was at Brands and the other pic was the same car at Silverstone - possibly 1996. With co-driver P McCarthy.

The first Elite I ever saw that was not at a dealership, but at Watford hospital. Somewhere I have some original colour transparencies taken on a twin lens reflex - Lubital 6x6cm. of this car. In the mean time a b&w version. Note no sub model plate on B pillar. Car registered August 1974. I still think these are awesome looking cars.

Excel definitely better to own, Éclat ok with Riviera style bonnet and boot lid, but Elite easier for 4 and also to park as glass tailgate helps loads.

Lotus Europa in the passenger mirror of my dad's Jaguar, around 1975. Reverse / printed so can read the reg number.  Not far from where @Trevsked lives. Turning into Ducks Hill Road from A404 Rickmansworth Road.

Factory finish, it is the 50,000th Lotus production car. I would agree with you but they work as a whole; and as a one-off, I think the standard look is best but this works for the special car. Colour is Royal Blue and the car was dontated to the Prince's Trust for raffle.

In the first photo, it’s interesting to see that Opel Kadett estate. It’s from 1979, but looks like a battered and rusty old shed after only 8 years on the road. That’s the equivalent today of seeing a 2014 Astra!

In the 1st photo:- Nick Knight's Turbo Esprit HC and I'd guess his brother's X180 N/A. I think it may well be @The Ferrett's S2.2 as well (although it had a personalised plate on it when I knew it).

Don't recognise the white Esprit though. It isn't me.
