Evora long term ownership

Who has owned their Evora long term? Mine is a one owner car (me!) from new in Sept 2012, so about 9.5 years.

Who has owned theirs longer and is it a keeper?

My ownership is coming up to paltry 4 years however overall an enjoyable time can’t wait until this time next year and it’s paid for ! 😁

Only 4 years in. I drove one in 2009 or 2010 and adored it but the time was wrong and I like to wait to avoid some depreciation. 

22,000 miles with mine, 72,000 in total. Currently has a misfire and with Bell and Colvill. I miss it. 

I hope to never sell, of all Evora I have driven (which is most of them), NA is my favourite.

10 years 3 months with my NA. It’s a 2010 car that was a Lotus management car and had 3k miles on it and all 3 packs, although not a LE. Now on 40k miles and going superbly well but not driving it until the salt clears. Emira on order and prob July / Aug delivery, not sure what will happen then - may just keep it as it will be better than money in the bank, but I want to compare the 2 cars and see if 1 is worth 50k more than the other 😂

Mine is a MY12 Evora S built in December 2011. It was a Lotus owned press/management car used in Italy (for some filming as  I discovered just the night before wiring the money) and then mine since April 2013. I crossed the channel with one of my kids to pick it up (without knowing how I would manage to put it in my house’s garage on the way back, as I could not clear the steep ramp).

We have gone through a lot together, with some highs and lows. Travelled  with my former wife and two kids to Switzerland, Italy, Germany plenty of times (including a few laps around  the Nurburgring and Hockenheimring).

Gone through a divorce and a broken gearbox (almost simultaneously!) and still together, so it is now looking good to stay together a bit longer., even if the kids hardly fit in the rear seats anymore.

Still a special moment when I take it out, be it for a short stretching of legs or a weekend in Schwarzwald.

wtf to do but been treading water for far too long now.....someone help me out......

@JAWS will be along in a second... he's had his imaculate Carbon Grey NA for some time now.

I was 3 years and 48K miles in my S.  4 years and change with my 400 and 31K (stupid COVID).

I always thought I'd be in an Evora for the foreseeable future, but the Emira is too good a proposition for me as these cars are my daily driver.  IF there had been an Evora Final Edition, it would probably have been a close run thing as I was finally in the position to buy a new car - a first for me.

They've both been more than I'd hoped for, and genuinely love the ownership experience.

I'm the original owner of my 2011 Evora S.

I ordered it in May of 2011. Took delivery September 2011.

I made lots of changes to it over the years to keep it interesting (I kept all of the OEM parts to return it to stock someday). Its been super reliable. Basically only needing a couple brake light switches over time. I have no plans to ever sell. Although, I am considering adding an Emira down the road.

12 years and counting. Emira on order too but Evora will be a pension fund 🙂

Between my NA, my S and my GTE ( which I've had 7 years!) I must be upto 10 years now. My first was a m100 elan in 96 I think. Would love an Emira but it would have to be a used one as the GTE is going nowhere!

@2011 Chrome Orange🍊 Even more impressive than your mods is you have found a use for the tiny storage bin behind the steering wheel..... perhaps it is meant for coins but is probably the most useless part of Evora.

@jepThat's where I keep the Saint Michael medallion that my parents gave me years ago.  A little wrap of velcro keeps it from rattling in the bin.

6 and a bit years for me from new. Just over 15k miles, which probably isn't enough tbh! Had a trip up to the Cotswolds in it at the end of last summer which reminded me how much I love it. Got a few more jaunts planned this year too.
