On Netflix.

My Octopus Teacher.

Daughter recommended it. Liz and I just watched it.

Mesmerising.

All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

One of my all time great movies. Just absolutely bloody brilliant, brilliant, brilliant! Watched it a second time just a week later and enjoyed it just as much. I have seen nothing for a year to match it. 20 out of 10. Can you tell I loved it?

What a beautiful Movie. How could anyone not love it. Hanks is his normal brilliant self and young Zengel.....what a find. She barely speaks but her portrayal of the young girl is wonderfully expressive.

Went to see no time to die last night. You need all the time in the world as it's almost 3 hours long, but worth it, especially at the end when

God doesn't want me, and the Devil isn't finished with me yet.

The small print.

My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

Watched Bond last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. One thing has been nagging at me though. During the final fight scenes, I am sure Bond gets a facial wound on the right side of his forehead, which he touches, but for the entire remainder of the film the scar seems to have relocated to the left side of his forehead! Anyone else notice it?

Edit: reminded me of the Goldfinger scene where the DB5 enters a narrow passageway on two wheels, but exits the passageway on the other two wheels…

I have also seen it. I am not a big Dune fan and have not seen the old ones. I really enjoyed it. I have not seen a film that I enjoyed as much for a while now. I now want to dig out the old film and the 3 part mini series.

One Wendy recommended. I never wanted to watch it then last night I saw it on Netflix and thought "What the hell, give it a go".

Without doubt one of my all time great feel good movies. Absolutely True, brilliantly acted and a lovely story. If you haven't seen it you have to. 100% have to. I guarantee you will like it!

My vote for best quote from a motion picture in 2021 goes to Client Eastwood in Cry macho, for

"any guy who wants to name his cock Macho, well, that's OK with me!"

The man's still got it....

God doesn't want me, and the Devil isn't finished with me yet.

As per my post elsewhere, watched this on Apple TV. I think I must have been holding my breath for half the movie.

Whilst its not a deep movie (It doesn't expand on his relationship with the still gorgeous Elizabeth Shue or really delve down into other relationships onboard) it is a great action packed War movie. Something we don't see a lot of these days! As they go head to head in a shoot out with several Subs (something that actually only happened 4-5 times in the whole of the war) you need to suspend your disbelief a little, but overall Hanks pulls the movie together and its very very good. 9/10

Promising Young Woman.

Carey Mulligan won an Oscar. A thought provoking film, fab performances, good script. Subject matter may annoy some....

On Sky and Sky cinema.

Don't watch Eternals.  It's a spectacular misfire from the Marvel stable.  You might be tempted by the award winning director (Chloe Zao) and the - on paper at least - highly watchable cast.  Don't be.
