[Vulcan Grey]

Anyone identify this creature - we saw it in the harbour at La Rochelle last year. I guess it was about 0.5m long and swam by waving the 'wings' on the side of its body. It travelled in the head direction.

 

I do have a video of it but maybe someone can ID it by the pic alone?

Wow - new one on me. No wonder we didn't recognise it - must have been holidaying too. Big one too. Presumably came in on a fishing boat.

I had never heard of the sea hare either. I live as far away from the ocean a you can get!

 

At first o thought it reminded me of an ocean sun fish, and then I thought of those Spanish dancer sea slugs, which lead mute to the image of the sea hare, since the photo I found looked so similar to yours.

 

Those sea hares apparently live all over, including France, the UK, and Australia.

The clown going on the crane boom, thats what I do for a living, day in day out although not quite at the same height, diiference being when I do it I have to carry a tool kit, grease gun etc and carryout inspections at the same time. But on top of the crane which is perched on top of a platform etc.
