I recently saw an episode of Britain's greatest machines on NGC, in which the C5 made an appearance. The link with Lotus was explained, specifically the lightweight backbone chassis. Then they went on to the Type 91 F1 car and Essex Esprit.
I saw the episode by accident and was very pleasantly surprised (but not by the C5 🙂 )!

Think I did about 10,000 miles in 6 weeks during summer holidays, my brother the same on the other one. The only day we didn't work was the day the TV camera's came down and filmed it! They used stand in's! Bugger really but hey ho! Overall I think we did about half the tested mileage.
